Well, he could have been a title holder at MW. I have the raw footage of him in the first Abraham fight. If AA wasn't able to just look at the judge and ask for point deductions.........

He went as far with Kelly Pavlik as Jermain Taylor did in his first fight with Pavlik. I've only seen one Inkin fight, but had he fought Inkin for the SMW it could have been a good match up. (I am now donning my asbestoes suit )

He needs some serious defensive work though.

maybe a bit before i was so into boxing that i would physically go though... my parents saw floyd fight in the old miami arena though. im a little jealous about that

ha ha ha.. imagine if miranda beat pavlik and jt & miranda faced off.... boxing is a very interesting sport

Like personalities in every human being, Miranda's fighting style is already forged within him. We always talk about how a guy should have better defense but the truth is that they are what they are. Edison's an exciting fighter with the style he has now. If he were to become a better defensive fighter it'd probably render him less effective.

Yeah, definitely have a good time man. I'm not trying to ruin the experience for you. I'm just not really into the cards they put out.

 

Let me put it another way. I urged he be patient in his second AA fight. AA lulled him to sleep and BAM. Defense was about range in that case. Also, he had to do very little against some one not throwing back to win a round. Miranda went into the ring wanting revenge. It played against him.

 

I was having Mexican food at a local place one day and they had 20 oz beers for $1.50. We got a couple and my son was commenting about the quality. Unfavorably. I pointed out to him that at most places for the same $1.50 you would get a glass of cola.

Still, you don't think it is worth $20, that is your call. I just get the feeling that WWM would rather put his $20 on the beer instead of the cola.

 

Miranda will never be a great fighter but he is a solid contender who is one of the more exciting fighters in the game. The card does look weak but if the tickets are $20 then I would go if I lived in the area. After this I'd love to see Miranda against Lacy, Ward, Dirrell, Pascal, or Taylor even.

 

I posted earlier that I saw Inkin/Balzey? I don't know at the beginning, but by the end of that fight Inkin was throwing arm punches. Just trying to slip scoring punches in. That could have been an interesting fight with Miranda instead. You wouldn't stop him with that kind of punching.
