I know what you are saying but it doesn't make it any less unacceptable to me. Flip the script and imagine Joe had gone to the US and said "I will whip this Ni**er in front of his family".

He would probably be suspended from boxing and have his belt taken from him. There is trash talk and then there is coming out with totally unacceptable bull****, I felt the same about Mayorga talking about Spinks loss...it was a disgrace.

Think how many white fans Hopkins has in the US, guys who would be cheering him on against Calzaghe and then he comes out and basically says "**** you lot, you are lesser men because you are white".

I had to say both because Hopkins' is my favourite fighter but I won't be dissapointed if Joe wins because I've followed him his whole career. Bit silly really but now the fights been made I really dont know who I'll be cheering for on the night. My prediction is unwavering though.

with the venue of the fight being in nevada and the price of the tickets there will be very few average fans attending.

I didnt say it was politically correct, Im just saying it will probably sell more tickets. When your hated people will pay to hopefully see you get your ass kicked that night, I dont think it was personal, just business. I wouldnt be surprised if Oscar was behind it, he knows what will sell more tickets.

No, but PPV in America is just as important, if not more. I remember when Hopkins slapped Winky during the weigh-in, my friends wanted to see the fight more and we ended up getting the PPV at there house instead of going to the bar like we usually do.

So what if Calzaghe said: "im gona whip this Ni**a's ass."?

How would you feel about that?

If Calzaghe said that I would want to see the fight even more, in hopes of seeing him lose badly, and thats exactly what the promoters of the fight want. I dont agree with what Hopkins said, but I understand how promoting works, and if that comment will get more people to buy the PPV, then he's doing his job and making more money in the process.

    i hate that **** .

i beleive boxers should be fined half there purse or be arrested for starting a mass brawl which usually occurs after this.

    schoolboy behaviour.
