I like Tarver, and Bernstein. Roy Jones Jr obviously great. Jim Grey does my head in. As does Lampley. I kinda like Kellerman commentating most of the time. Jim Watt is annoying, as is Duke Mckenzie.
Amir Khan was good for JMM vs Pac 3. Before the decision was announced, Khan was saying he wants to fight JMM next. When the decision was officially announced Khan backtracked on what he had said. CLASSIC.
Thought khan was great for that. Even though he was in Pac's camp, he called it exactly as it happened and had JMM the clear winner. Put those corrupt HBO *******s to shame
Al Bernstein and I know a lot of people don't like Teddy but Atlas knows his ****. Used to like Kellerman before he started becoming more and more biased for HBO.
I don't like Roy Jones because when something big happens he says the same thing but he barley says it with any emotion. He is good at the technical side though. "Woah!" I heard Bernard Hopkins announce once and I liked it a lot. Ward is good as well. Teddy Atlas is a bad ass. "New year, same corrupt judges. Happy New Year!"
all of the boxers pretty much do outstanding jobs commentating. Ward was excellent recently. Roy, Tarver, and Flores stand out as elite commentators to me.
You need a mix of analytical and play by play. I think Roy Jones is one of the best analyzers and Jim Lampley is the best play by play commentator.Des Moines Jiu Jitsu
RJJ is rubbish. Any one who claims otherwise is just awe struck. The lip smacking and ghetto speech alone should get his ass disqualified. Not to mention he is so predictable and repeats him self way too often. Just a dumbass for other dummies. Tarver is WAY better than JR, as far as black commentators go. Best commentator right now? Farhood followed by Bernstein.
