    Everyone is overrated.

In this era, if you win them all, you ARE overrated. You're not as good as your record.

If you lose any at all, you WERE overrated. People say, see, I told you they were overrated.

You don't even have to lose anymore. If a fan scored it for the other guy, that's a loss on you.

You don't even have to sign to fight someone to have a loss against them. Just fight someone who some fans don't want you to fight, and they label you overrated and the guy you didn't sign to fight as the victor over you.

Since everyone is overrated, the distinction of MOST OVERRATED is whoever loses next.

But that only lasts until the next unbeaten name loses, then you're just overrated again and he's the MOST overrated.

Joshua was the most overrated when he lost. Wilder was the most overrated when he lost. Joyce was the most overrated when he lost. (Dubois was the MOST overrated when he lost to Joyce, so losing to Usyk didn't make him "MOST" overrated again.)
    :nonono

Right now, Joyce is still THE MOST overrated.

If Zhang loses the return to Joyce, Zhang is the MOST overrated. When Fury and Usyk lose, they'll be the most overrated.

    It's all a bit ridiculous.

I went with Hrgovic. I think that, overall, we know who the others are and they rated pretty accurately. That being said, every fighter has their devout fans who go overboard.

Hrgovic didn't look particularly good against Zhang and that was his only fight of note. I think he is thought of as a bit of a beast and has yet to prove that against quality competition.

Only reason Hrgovic has become overrated is because almost the whole top 20 straight up refused to fight him, even after Zhang nobody wanted him.

Filip is not overrated. I would even said that he is underrated.
Overrated boxer for me is boxer who have too good "press" in the community, who is put on to high position to early and fans/promoters/expert talking how great he is and who he will beat if he only got chance to do it.
I dont see this all in Hrgovic case. Almost opposite. All talk that he didn't fight anyone, he looks poor with Zhang (that's not 100 percent truth) and he must do better. He even is lower in rankings than Zhang whom he defeat.

    That's not overrated for me.

Definite ATG at cruiser, but I've seen people on here describing him as an ATG heavy, better than Ali, unbeatable style, so many undeserved accolades. Fury got a load of unwarranted praise for his accomplishments before his latest round of aggravating everybody, so I'd say they are both overrated, but Fury's size , recuperation and movement alone make him a credible threat to any HW in history, whereas Usyk is a great mover, southpaw, with amazing reflexes, but how did movement and reflexes help Ali against somebody with the dogged determination of Frazier?
I'm not one of these people that thinks Usyk came close to losing to Chisora because he blatantly didn't, but the old war horse showed that pressure can get to Usyk, which is not a ringing endorsement of his "unbeatable" style

I hate coming with no receipts so I will try to find the posts that made me choose Usyk

But yeah,Usyk and Fury are the 2 most overrated guys in the division rn

Fury, serves up Del3 and Ngannou while ducking the man and putting on 50lb of lard. Beyonce4 no doubt on horizon.

Voted Usyk by accident. Fury is the right answer at this stage in his career.

I guess the question is how much much Usyk's cruiser skills might show he'd be competitive against the smaller "old" heavies - I can see that argument up to a point... would I pick him to beat Iron Mike or Lennox? Probably not.

Then again, I wouldn't pick Fury to beat those guys either.

Funny thing is, idk if they even are... and I voted Wilder.

Not because there isn't a bit of OTT for Usyk on here and a lot of OTT for Fury among casuals... but because Wilder gets put say up there as a H2H nightmare for greats and as a top three fighter still despite his terrible resume, gets rated as an ATG heavy puncher when most of his victims had third rate defences and second rate chins at best (to me, you've got to be breaking granite to earn an ATG power reputation and Wilder never has IMHO).

    AJ is still overrated

In till everyone refers to him as that glass hearted bum from London who beats up students or bodybuilding mental midget who got slapped up by two literal midgets then he is overrated. When Fury handles Usyk they'll realize that they got too excited by Usyks wins over the bodybuilder...or maybe see Wilder take his head clean off first.

For this era, Joshua. For the last year or 2, Joyce.

275 pound roided Joyce is a titan

That meek unrioded thing that let Zhang beat him up with 1 punch was an outlier although I expect rinse repeat

That was to do with McKean more than anything. Quite early on, realising Hrg was too much for him, his only chance became to spoil and grapple, in the faint hope that he could tire Hrg and stop him in the 12th. As soon as McKean opened up in the final round, Hrg stopped him. It was pretty predictable, though I can understand why people mentally checked out once McKean engaged in a hug fest. To be honest I did too, until round 12, as I knew what was coming.

I don't necessarily think that is a bad performance from Hrg
