The amount he earns compared to the level of talent he is fighting doesn't do much in justifying himself (even know that's **** all to do with me).

When he puts his Money where is mouth is and fight fighters like Cotto and wins, then he deserves to be put into talks, otherwise, a prime example of a hypejob.

exactly. and the stink he caused about hernandez, the celebrating like this is some victory. he's enjoying the fame and money without the effort or victories. frankly, i don't like his style and don't think he's that good at all

OK, I admit Im a Berto fan. In that I think he has every right to demand and warrant a fight with Pac or Mayweather. He's a young champion who wants to beat these two legends before they become OLD or past prime, soas he can say he is the man who beat the man when the man was the man.

Look at SSM. This guy shoulda hungs em up years ago. DLH was beating him 10 years ago for cryin out loud. But here is is, barely drawing with an imposter pretender, and somehow warranting a title shot again the man.

And if Berto is to continue to fight these other young talents, the legends like Floyd and Pac might just fade of into retirement before giving him his shot at their P4P status.

I do agree that Berto needs a little more seasoning, but only like 2 or 3 more tough fights. If he hasnt got the shot after those 3 quality fights, then it is apparent Pac and PBF want NO part of him and are happy facing washed up fighters like Margs and SSM.
Heck, I wouldnt be surprised if PBF took on RH in his next fight, rumor has it Ricky's gonna try to lace em up again.

the fact though is that SSM has earned the shot and ****, his victory a decade past his prime against margo is WAY better than anything berto has done in his entire career. berto needs to feast on the B level guys in his division before he goes after A squad. just cause you have a network behind you doesn't mean you deserve any fighter you want

Agreed. I have no issue with Berto calling them out--they're the top guys in the division that he wants to be the top guy in. What I have an issue with is news writers and fans taking it seriously, as if he actually should get legitimate consideration for those fights. Fighters are gonna call out everybody, and they should. Doesn't mean we have to listen. Not until they show us something.

Home Buttocks Office (HBO) is protecting Berto! Collazo sure beat the crap out of him, but was cheated.

You mean like moving up in weight and instead of fighting the Best and/or Lineal title holder in the division, he should just simply choose the weakest belt-holder and fight him at a Catchweight. Or a Fight an opponent who isn't even ranked in that division, has NO Belt nor a Boxing License, and fight him for a Vacant (Paper Title) while opting not to fight any of the other Belt-Holders within that division for their Titles.

Nah, I mean having fights against other tough youg fighters, titles or not.

Maidana, Kirkland, Khan, etc come to mind. Then he can go on collecting titles if that's how he likes to run his ****.

I basically want to see him in with other young guys on the way up, then maybe an older fighter with a name (Cotto) before he starts getting consideration to fight the top guys.

I just don't like the idea of him leapfrogging everybody else just because he's the only welterweight with a slim, ever so slim chance.

    PS
Pacquiao, while I respect his past accomplishments, and even his current ones somewhat (beating a guy that has 20lb on you is a big deal, titles or no titles), is clearly just in it for money right now. Which is really alright, except there are still fights to make besides Floyd. Arum seems to think that since everybody wants Floyd, that they'll be pissed off no matter who Manny fights. Realistically, he could fight JMM at lightweight and it'd be mad impressive.
