Are you taking a side, even a little bit, or just let the better man win?

I'm slightly an AJ guy because I have found him to be more honorable. He picked up Fury's messes with title abandonment, Ngannou, and to a lesser degree, Wallin. Also, other than the admittedly hilarious meltdown after the second Usyk fight, he's just acted as a well-admired athlete should.

But, I do say that Fury has had some big moments, and I am happy to let the better man win.

Pick your poison. I can't get behind any of them anymore.

Fury once was a favorite of mine when he got down from 300 pounds and had the wilder trilogy and promised to donate his prize money to the homeless. Well...

Since then and probably before - you can forget him. Lies over lies, avoiding fights (like the usyk one - or setting a one week deadline for joshua), fighting gate keepers and mma fighters, more lies, cozying up with questionable people, doping allegations and so on. Can't listen to him anymore while he was so entertaining once.

And Joshua is barely better. A hundred tune ups, jake paul (!) and not sparking him out in one round (!!!), throwing usyks belt out the ring, a side advantages left and right, and often seems a bit brainwashed. In general he behaves better than fury, but it just so much seems to be a facade and he can only keep it up as long as his superiority is obvious.

I am interested in the fight though. Should be entertaining. And IF they fight, they wont take away opportunities from the other, more deserving fighters. But i won't be rooting for anyone, maybe i will find myself to favor one of them mid fight for what they do in the ring.

I am rooting for guys like zayas who come across as genuinely likeable, open and warm hearted personalities.

Big Fury fan I will always support him. I don't mind AJ these days but I just like Fury better and want him to win.

    I'm backing Joshua.

I think he gets too much criticism. Loads of fighters would've thrown their recently lost belts out of the ring, stormed around and pushed an elderly cutman, then taken the mic to give a long rant about how boxing is hard. It's that very passion that keeps the sport alive.

I also think people blew his messages to Eddie Chambers way out of proportion. Everyone is entitled to their opinion, and it was a private conversation, not our business.

Fury is a disgrace for winning close fights with Ngannou and Wallin. He gave boxing a bad name.

    Slightly Fury.

The both have their flaws, I just dislike AJ slightly more.

Im always a Fury fan but at this point now may the better man win, both have had there antics that has pissed fans off but after paying for all of Joshua’s PPV events iirc, I never paid for another one after his racist outburst back in 2020 .

I don't really support one fighter over the other usually, outside of maybe Fabio Wardley, as I'm from Ipswich and it's a nice hometown story.

I also tend to support British fighters when they're fighting Americans or Mexicans.

Aside from that, I don't give a ******'s toss who wins even a smidge, regardless of personality and character.

Two of the most overrated heavyweight champions in history. Lennox Lewis would have Boxed their ears off. Enzo Maccaranelli would have given these guys a handful. Not really but it sounds good.

I’m strongly favouring AJ purely to see the reaction of that Miniq guy seeing his hero beaten by someone he routinely shitcans.

    Please God let this happen.

and loads of fighters take their losses as a sportsman. Canelo losing to Crawford was an absolute model of how to act with class and dignity after having just experienced an embarrassing defeat.

I can forgive a guys behavior immediately after having just spent 12 rounds having their brain rattled. Just saying, plenty of guys manage it without acting like that.

Hell, AJ himself has acted honorably in the face of a loss. Check him out after the Dubois loss. Didn’t make excuses, just said something to the effect of “I hate what just happened, but he was the better man tonight, he got me”. Left it at that.

Slightly AJ. Would just be nice to see Joshua beat Fury after years of Fury's antics and talking.

Who do I want to win? AJ because of the whole Rocky 3 training thing going on. I’d love to see him come out much more optimized for his physical traits, with holes in his game fixed, etc.

Who do I think will win? Fury unless that happens to be the night he loses his Wolverine healing powers. I just can’t see AJ being able to win more than 2-3 rounds without knockdowns, and I can’t see AJ catching Fury enough times across different rounds to score enough knockdowns to win on the cards. I don’t think a KO is happening because I don’t think it’s possible to KO Fury, dude just gets right up from anything like it was no big deal. And a stoppage? No Brit ref is stopping either of them.

so it’s a real uphill battle for AJ. He’s got to do what seems impossible, actually knock Fury out.

Edit: and please, please, please let Usyk himself be one of AJ’s cornermen. Would be amazing. And hilarious. And tactically useful (who knows more about how to outbox Fury than Usyk?)
