I can see where you're coming from in a lot if that, but once again with you there's a big under estimating of Ali here.
For a start any version of Ali was immensely strong no one bullied Ali. Style wise Frazier and Norton's persistent work rate caused him Problems but he wasn't physically bullied, even Foreman couldn't do It.
Also you under estimate Ali's pop,he hurt every fighter he ever faced he could certainly hurt and stop Tyson.

I too see your reasoning, but I tend to think you underestimate Ali's strength. Tyson isn't going anywhere if Ali ties him up. He certainly isn't going to bully Ali, and in comparison to Ali's skills, Tyson's are limited to say the least.

The whole point that you seem to miss is the way Ali threw shots when in theory he shouldn't have. He would be wrong footed, off balance, and still throw stinging shots.

Also its been shown by Holyfield and Douglas it wasn't big shots that Tyson couldn't handle, it was the volume of normal shots. Ali would pepper him enough to expose his mental incapability.

Tyson was no Frazier, willing to take whatever came his way so he could land his own.

And that was Toney's observation years ago. On the other thread there is reference to D'Amato throwing Lewis out of the gym because he started beating on Tyson. I would say it was a fair bet that he would do that to anyone who started to get the better of Tyson in sparring, so he never got used to the idea of having to work out a way around the problem.

Which is why he collapsed mentally in future fights when met with constant resistence.

There is no more than a punchers chance of Tyson beating any version of Ali up until the Spinks fight, and that punchers chance only lasts until Ali gets inside his head. From the opening bell he would be telling Tyson he was useless, too short, ugly, talks like a girl, anything to make him crack up, and he would succeed.

Tyson was explosive as I said before. If Ali makes a mistake he could find himself on the canvas. I just believe as the fight goes on Ali would be able to diffuse Tyson`s power. With steady movement and with Ali tying Tyson up enough to frustrate him.

Those straight slashing punches of Ali which he threw in flurries woud eventually damage Tyson around the eyes the way Buster Douglas did with his jab and cross.

Please tell me that you are aware that the people that Tyson fought were nowhere near Ali's level.

I cant understand why Tyson isn't rated on this site, the young Tyson with his head and lateral movement allied to his foot/hand speed and power was awesome.

Now I know you are joking. I've heard all the bull**** excuses before. So lets get it straight. Givens divorced Tyson 14 days before the BRUNO fight, didn't seem to play on his mind then did it.

3 weeks before the Tokyo fight DOUGLAS'S mother died. In the week of the fight the mother of Douglas's son was rushed into hospital in need of life saving surgery, and he had to make arrangements for the boys care.

And you claim Tyson had " things on his mind "

Tyson is going to play mind games with Ali? Yeah right jog on. With his little girly voice lisp, and poor imitation of Liston's stare. I don't think so.

You Tyson fanatics are silly enough to compare junkies, alcoholics, old men, and bums with Ali, because with the exception of Tucker that is all Tyson faced until Douglas who exposed him.

You really are coming from another planet if you think any version of a near prime Ali could be as inherently useless as Thomas, Smith, Spinks, Bruno, Berbick, Biggs, or Williams.

And you couldn't be more wrong regarding Tyson and Frazier. Frazier could fight through adversity and win. Tyson couldn't. If he didn't lead from start to finish, he got KTFO.

Not fit to be mentioned in the same breath as a warrior like Joe.

I've got no issue with anyone having Tyson over Ali i'm a big fan of Tyson myself you're preaching to the converted here.
It's just that with every passing post you have Ali's chances diminishing at an alarming rate.
By another half dozen posts Ali will seemingly have as much chance as Jack Bodell would have.

    Mate, ignore the guy.
This is the same troll as before ( Tommo - Glover )
Always the same, gets a months ban then reappears with a new name, racks up 500 posts in a month, then gets the ban again.

His style is so shallow you can spot him a mile away.
He also seems to think that an exclamation mark after almost every sentence makes his views more valid.

You are a ******. Ruddock was a flat-footed power-puncher who threw away his boxing ability for a KO punch. Ali beats Tyson.

Liston would beat Tyson (he also had size on him) and boxing ability. Liston was a boxer-puncher who set up his KO's with technicaility and ring-craft, a very smart boxer. People jsut don't appreciate it, he could also slug.

Foreman was a monster and Cus D'Amato said ''Swarmers like Marciano and Frazier would never stand a chance against him''. Tyson avoided FOreman like the plague, sluggers beat swarmers.

Ruddock was a bad boxer, Frazier could fight nonstop for 15 rounds and had superhuman endurance. Norton was a very awkward boxer. Ruddock was a very flat-footed power-puncher with a shaky chin who gave up boxing ability for KO power.

Not really, most have Liston over Tyson. Liston, in his prime was 218lbs so he wasn't small. He had a JAB that KO'd people and an 84 inch reach that kept them away, he boxed with his jab and set up his KO's but also could slug. His KO power is comparable to George Foreman, in fact they're level. You underate Liston, but stylistically he's a nightmare for Tyson.

Nope. Cus told Mike that Foreman's style is a nightmare for his kind of fighting, and in the 90's Tyson was scared shitless. What do you think Cus telling Mike about Foreman would do to Mike's confidence? :patsch

Morrison was 6''2 and had a 77 inch reach, he had the attributes to box outside. Tyson was 5''10 and had a 71 inch reach, Morrison boxed safe against Foreman because he knew he couldn't win on the inside.

Again, Lewis would pose a better fight to ALI. Lewis was an ATG, Tyson was overrated, in the 80s he beat a weak era and the 90s were too tough for him (Lewis's era).

    You REALLY underrate Ali.

Holyfield said Foreman hits harder than Lewis, Bowe and Tyson. And Lewis is Klitschko size!
