You could have just says he is muscle bound so he will tire quickly This is no secret and kind of obvious to anyone who follows sports or any athletic activity
It's more complicated than that. AJ gasses out because of his genetics, his training methods, his style and his character. And these problems will be amplified when he was to fight a man who's a lot bigger than himself, who makes AJ carry his 6'8, 273 lbs frame.
I agree, but if he dropped the mass then he'd lose some of his power and punch resistance. He'd be dropped more easily and his stamina vis a vis Fury may actually decline because Fury would find it even easier to bully and ragdoll him at 220-230 pounds than at 240-250. He'd also feel tiny in the ring compared to Fury at that weight, so the mental pressure would further cripple him and make him gas. There isn't really any way to solve this puzzle, AJ is what he is.
This is a lot of wishful thinking on your part. I hope Fury comes in at 273 pounds because all it means is that it will comprise his mobility and he gets clocked quicker.
You've already inadvertently admitted that you don't have any confidence in AJ winning by denying that Fury is the better fighter if he KO's or schools him, which proves definitively that unlike me, you are a delusional fanboy who won't be able to deal with reality when it hits you.
Objectively speaking that is wrong. Aj lost a decent amount of muscle mass in the ruiz rematch and he actually took those left hooks better than he did during the first fight. It also looked like he had a better gas tank although although you can just chalk that down to Aj having a low workrate in the remtach
I'm not entire convinced on him losing that much power ... I'm of the camp that power is mostly natural and you would have power at your natural weight ... Punch resistance I'm not sure ... Neck mass does make a difference in punch resistance
He'll still be faster on his feet at 273 lbs than AJ can be at any weight. Like every AJ fanboy on this forum, you will be sh*tting your pants if he comes in 270+.
Why do I have to admit Fury is the better fighter when I don’t think so at all. If AJ knocks him out do I have to doubt my belief that Fury is the better pure boxer? You are clutching at straws son. Like I said before styles make fights and both guys have some good attributes I just feel based on everything style match up and intangibles AJ knocks out Fury.
Ruiz never caught him as many times or nearly as cleanly in the rematch so there is no "objectively speaking" here. Other things being equal, less weight = less punch resistance and more weight = more punch power. It's also not debatable that a lighter fighter can be dropped more easily if he gets hit. I don't doubt that AJ had a better gas tank and could move faster in the rematch but even fatter Andy wasn't able to push the pace or manhandle him much due to already having very slow feet and being over 20 stone, but whenever he had AJ in the clinch AJ was getting pushed around.
Of course you don't think so and won't think so if and when Fury KO's him: you are a delusional fanboy, like the Wilder fanboys who think his costume took away his legs and Fury loaded his gloves with egg-weights. It is you who is clutching at straws. Obviously AJ KO'ing Fury won't prove him to be the better boxer but I will admit he's the better fighter. If Fury KO's AJ or shuts him out then he's not just the better boxer but clearly the better fighter. You can say whatever you want about styles and intangibles: if Fury KO's AJ and you still maintain that AJ is the better fighter, you only prove yourself to be a delusional joke with no credibility whatsoever.
