It's hard to argue with a guy who defines a good day as one where he doesn't **** himself

Who do u think does ''stand a chance"?????

    Ward?!!????
    Mayflower????
    Cotto?????
    Martinez ?????
    Froch??????

Its clear that only Froch and Ward are in his league......Froch says NO FUKKING WAY.......

Ward hides behind his promotional issues while DESPERATELY trying to get to Showtime as far away as FUKKING POSSIBLE from both KOVALEV and GGG.

Macklin was never top 5. It was a good win for Golovkin none the less.

I've been saying to say thing. I like his skillset, and I like his power, but who has he beat? Who has he been put to the test by?

Who the hell is Mayflower? Anyway, Ward, Froch, Cotto would all be forminable opponents. I actually think Geale is a good opponent as well. As far as Ward hiding behind promotional issues, he has stated over and over again that he still wants to fight and is willing to fight with Goosen as his promoter for the time being. It was Golovkin's people who said Ward isn't a big enough name at this point.

    This is exactly the point.
In a normal world one would not have to make hyped or wild guesses about how a fighter would perform at this stage of their careers. Normally a fighter like GGG would have fought at least 1 or top top MW or SMWs in their respective divisions to know exactly where they are skill wise.
GGG hasn't even fought the lower tier of the elite MWs like Sturm, Chavez, Abraham or Quillin yet, so it's impossible to honestly place he in the same league at the top with Ward, Froch or at this point, even Cotto.

He was inaccurately ranked higher than he should have been around the same time that Bute was being likewise mis-rated as the #2-3 SMW. :yep

Well by the same definition, Quillin shouldn't be considered elite either, so I don't know why you classified him as one.

I consider anyone with a belt as at least minimum low tier elite level even though they may still be at the B level due to having not yet defeated A level opponents.
So, I am actually giving GGG some slack here by lumping he and Quillin in with Sturm and Abraham, even though both of the latter are much more accomplished than either Qullin or GGG.

Making this thread is hyping GGG. Stop these sorts of threads and GGG's presence on these boards drops by 90%. Be part of the solution.

Give the man a chance and he may prove why he is being hyped. He has to get the fights to be great, though.

Fair enough. Just wasn't sure if you were saying Quillin was elite while GGG wasn't, considering they are-on paper- pretty much at the same level.

    Yep.
In a fair world, they would have already competed against each other to determine which is the better MW of the two. :yep

    NO!!!!!!!!
Ward has NEVER said he would fight GGG. He dodges by saying he's taking offers!!!

Cotto is a WW who ran from his stacked division to fight slower old or broken fighters......he's an ATG imo, but wholly due to quantity /quality of wins/losses. Him vs GGG would be sanctioned suicide just as Martinez vs GGG would be.

Soliman has manned up by saying he'll fight GGG......lets see how fast he signs for Sturm 3 or Murray or worse Mundine??????

BJ Saunders looks like he'd not duck....same with Fletcher.....least the non American contenders got some balls
