Buddy, if tomato cans like Harold Sconiers nearly have you out of there, you have a glass jaw, period end of paragraph. :nod I can't wait til his handlers finally cash out and Wilder gets destroyed. I'm gonna laugh my ass off at blind fools like you. Just like I did when Michael Grant's glass jaw got exposed back in the 90s. :nod
Fury's got a suspect chin too, no question - but at least he's had the balls to test it against a few live bodies. Call me when Wilder stops fighting unemployed plumbers and electricians, okay.
By this stage in their respective careers, by comparison, Peter was fighting ATGs Wilder has just stepped up from dish washers and part time cab drivers.
Harold Sconiers is A LOT worse than Chisora or even Pajic or whatever his name is And wilder wasn't just flash knockdowned like fury. No, Wilder went down like a sack of ****, it was actually shocking, it looked like Wilder had instantly died. I was a wilder fan back then and I was crying and screaming "DEONTAY'S DEAD, HE KILLED DEONTAY" Credit to Wilder that he hauled his ass up and managed to survive, but he was gone mate, he was gone.
Am I the only one that thinks he looks stiff and awkward in there? He seems to have legit power but he looks awkward.
No amature background, started boxing @ 20, but these dumb asses cant understand why they've moved along slowly.
Same, I don't understand why they feel the need to hype up no hopers, suppose Scott isn't too bad either
All jokes aside, you seriously don't know **** about boxing, maybe if you spent more time watching fights and less time playing make believe, you could avoid these kinds of situations.
For sure you can admit that Wilder has some very glaring issues that are going to be a problem when he finally steps up in 2015. Right? Is he a likable guy? Sure. Is he exciting? Sure. Is he being cautiously moved by his Management? Yes. Is he going to get better fighting old men and no hopers? No. His team is doing him a huge dis-service by moving him like this and there have been several Boxing Writers that have mentioned it. It isn't just people on this Forum that have criticized him. Wilder will not get better or gain experience by fighting the line of guys he is fighting right now. We have already seen in the past how this story ends. I am not asking him to go and fight Vitali Klitschko tomorrow. Just someone with a pulse.
I think all that you posted above is fair and I don't disagree with anything. In his defense he has zero amature career, didn't take up boxing until 20, I mean he has been boxing for 7 years. So he's having to learn on the job, and that's a tall order in a job in which motha****ers are trying to knock you unconscious. I'm not saying he's the next big thing, I'm not saying he'll even be a champion, all I'm saying is that anyone who catagorically dismisses this dude (especially given the state of the HW division) DKSAB.
having won a medal in the olympics, does constitute some amateur background ray mercer had the same amateur experience and didnt turn pro until 27, was fighting on a roberto duran televised undercard in his pro debut.....Wilder has had 26 fights and and after 4 years, Golden Boy has yet to put him on an undercard of any PPVs. Why is that? tommy morrison had very little amateur experience and learned on the job too...but the difference was morrision fought 19 Wilder level opponents in 12 months and it took Wilder 3 1/2 years . And Morrision or Mercer were not 6 foot 7 sculpted giants. and they blasted their bums with hilight reel KO's. if you have seen enough fighters come up, you realize who can fight, who cant. Its not even a question how good he is, its more like how bad he still is....yes he is trying....but thats about it.....
To answer the question of this post:........Many boxing forum poster think that ALL boxers are bums, fight easy opposition, are over rated and should retire.
