Rounds don't mean anything, but that said Szpilka and Washington were not outboxing Wilder. Neither has any power or stamina, so Wilder took his time measuring them for the knockout or stoppage, which he easily got in both fights. Ortiz was a challenge, but even then his poor stamina just meant he would last longer before Wilder stopped him.

Szpilka is quicker than Joshua or for that matter any of Joshua's opponents and is a southpaw. That said he had no punching power, so Wilder didn't need to rack up points. He just needed to time Szpilka, who started slowing down in the later rounds and left himself wide open.

Ortiz is a southpaw, has a better jab, is a better counterpuncher, and is more fluid than Joshua. Ortiz came with a great game plan. He neutralized Wilder's jab, was countering Wilder's right hand with straight lefts, and was even going to Wilder's body to limit Wilder's mobility. Ortiz did pick up some of the early rounds, but during by the 5th Ortiz started tiring and left himself open and Wilder rocked him and dropped him. Ortiz also landed a beautiful check hook on Wilder and hurt him a little, but after the 6th Ortiz's stamina was gone and it was only a matter of time before Wilder finished him off.

    He lost rounds to Washington

Wilder toyed with Washington and when he got bored he ended him. Washington has no power, no defense, or stamina. In the early round Wilder let Washington land his ineffective jabs while he fired left hooks to Washington's body. By the 5th round Washington stopped jabbing and was gassed out due to Wilder's hooks to the body and got run over by Wilder.

I still think Joshua is too green for Wilder and that Hearn and Joshua's handlers won't let Joshua anywhere near Wilder for at least another 1-2 years, since Joshua still doesn't have a good jab, he can't fight backing up, and his stamina still needs alot of work.

If you look at this fight with an unbiased eye its like 65-35 in joshuas favour. Joshua is the better boxer with big fight experience and good enough power to get wilder out.

Wilder has elite power but lacks fundamentals, lacka big fight experience and his usual strategy of coming on late is too risky against joshua who is by far his most dangerous opponent.

Thats not to say a wilder win is impossible but imo he's been riding his luck for a while now and i think hes gonna need more than that vs Joshua

Of course 90% of people on here arent unbiased so there ya go

agreed on the assessments of these fights

AS started well but lost the last few rounds and lost all momentum by the stoppage

GW on second viewing was even or behind I think i had it even after 4 and wilder winning 5 and stopping in 6. DW came out slow and the minute he decided to turn it on he knocked him out. kinda reminded me of Khan vs Canelo

Ortiz fought him very tough and I disagreed with the scores but Ortiz resembles nothing of Joshua

Who exactly did the geriatric Ortiz beat to have him in such high regard?

Wilder’s hand speed and movement is going to be a problem. Aj’s Best chance is to come out and rush him from the opening bell, get him out of there before he even gets started. If AJ tries to “box” he’s gettin knocked out...he isn’t quick enough, doesn’t have the head movement, and will follow Wilder around until he gets bombed out with a huge righty hand. Wilders unpredictable style will be tough for someone as textbook as AJ to deal with. Wilder breaks all the convention because his God given gifts allow him that luxury. AJ can win, he’s a damn good fighter, but he better come ready to lay it all on the line.

I don’t consider being better than Takom and/or Parker that high of regard to be honest. I’ve seen all three fight and based on the skills I’ve seen demonstrated I believe Ortiz beats the other two guys.

Parker absolutely is, he beats both Ortiz and Wilder. Of course Wilder would never fight him, the only test he's willing to take is Joshua to make millions losing his 0. The fact that Wilder gets by with some fans for fighting bums while AJ gets called scared while fighting actual competition is beyond stupid. Hell Wilder wont even fight Whyte for his biggest payday ever, because Whyte will not roll over and that's to much of a chance for Wilder before he can cashout against Joshua.

Well only one of them was a champion and that was Parker...
who unlike Ortiz has not been suspended for steroids.
Ortiz's only decent win was Jennings.

Truth on Ortiz is he was old AF and unproven as a pro and lost by KO against the only good opponent he ever fought.

Everything on paper says this should be a realiveky easy fight for Joshua. But something tells me he doesn’t see the final bell vs Wilder. I think he plays it safe but he lets the fans and pride get to him and try’s to knock Wilder out which cost him

Bro honestly neither of them have a resume you act like Joshua is out here fighting hardcore dudes he fought a 40 yr old Wlad coming off a lost, and a long break of inactivity. Stop comparing resumes they are both trash!!

There is no way Joseph Parker is as good as Wilder, and i dont think Ortiz either. I dont think thats a objective viewpoint.

In all seriousness what in the world would make you think Parker beats Wilder? What about his style or physical attributes makes you believe that? I have to know...
