Why are Dmitry Bivol and Artur Beterbiev ducking each other?

I think the pandemic has something to do with it as well. Beterbiev and Bivol aren’t household names, so they are unlikely to generate a lot of PPV revenue. It really shouldn’t be like that, given this is a fight for LHW suppremacy, but we all know how things work in this game - Money.

A live gate would be necessary, so we propably have to wait a little while for this one.

I think there is a story out today about this fight. Hopefully it gets made before Beterbiev has to walk to the ring with a cane.

 

Beterbiev is the favorite against any LHW of the last 30 years. Including RJJ, Toney, Kovalev and Ward.

Hes not afraid of anybody and his style perfectly translates to the professional ranks.

Not flashy. Not eye catching. Just brutally and bluntly effective.

This is probably the truth. It's a hard fight for both of them they both might lose (favouring Beterbiev tbh) and they will want a big payday for the risk.

Bob Arum is trying to set up Beterbiev against Joe Smith Jr.

Arum seems to think Smith will win. That will be Beterbiev's test to see if Top Rank remains loyal and on side with him as I think they're pushing to make Smith the all American working class hero on this; much like Pavlik.

Beterbiev has to go out there and obliterate Smith.

He should also drop the IBF belt and let Bivol fight for the vacant belt and then face him later in the year with 3 belts and a unification bout on the line.

The Adam Dienes fight is utterly pointless at this moment in time. It's just wasting 6 months of his career.

Fight Smith before Ramadan....rest.....Bivol in September.
