Why are Dmitry Bivol and Artur Beterbiev ducking each other?

Well that's true about any fight they take, not just against each other.

 

High risk, low reward for both guys. They would be smart to avoid each other and try to get a money fight with an American or Canelo if possible. People aren’t going to pay to watch two Russians fight. I’d pay to watch either fight Canelo. Plus, Bivol can make 168 if the money is right. Don’t hold your breath, Canelo doesn’t want any part of either guy. Too tough.

If that's the case then their mentality is one of the major reasons of what is ruining the sport. I swear I wish more fighters had Canelo's mentality.

 

Same as Crawford-Spence wanting Pac instead of each other. They want Canelo, not a quite possibly riskier fight with much less reward.

And I can't really blame them, since a fighter is an over hyped nobody to many fans as soon as he loses.

 

I don't have any sense that they're ducking each other. Things have not been progressing normally in boxing the last year due to covid. So there are a lot of fights we'd like to see that have been delayed. Even in the best of times, however, I don't think there's much public pressure to see Beterbiev- Bivol. I'd watch it, but I'm a hardcore boxing fan. None of my friends would even know who I'm talking about.

 

"govodznykov" hahaha. Now that was funny. The problem with your theory is that while they're sitting around they are not getting PAID in the meantime regardless of how many lemmings worship them.

 

Fair enough but the only way to change that is by fighting often which neither seem to be inclined to do

 

Canelo is carefully cherry picking his way up and down the weight classes. He’s making tons of money and I can’t blame him. If Canelo was on their shoes (Bivol, Beterbiev) he would do the same thing.

Your original post is funny and a little pathetic. You just want these guys to beat each other so Canelo has an excuse to avoid two dangerous fighters. He can continue to cherry pick weaker guys at higher weights while his fans like you wet their pants with excitement. Maybe Canelo can get a Rocky Fielding rematch!
