Ok. I just watched this fight for the 1st time yesterday and within the first 20seconds id noticed how carls stance had widened his stance and within the first few rds he was a bit stiff on his legs he seemed to relax into it as he went later into the rds but for me this is the reason he touched down them 3 times. It goes without saying that what they are trying ylto do is lower his centre of gravity to create more power. The only thing is is that once u lower ur centre of mass u have to alter ur base of support as this is the formula for balance i.e centre of mass over base of suport and when 1 of those factors changes through the planes of movement the other has to move accordingly that is the rule set for balance. Like i mentioned earlier he seemed to get his eye in with his change in stance as the rds went on but for me that was the reason he touched down did anyone else notice how they seemed to be more an issue with knocking him off balance rather than been hurt with the shots. dont get me wrong it was through the power in the gonzales shot that knocked him off balance but he was never hurt. for me carl lost them 3 pts for getting used to widening his stance with the intention of adding more power to his game also slipping bobbing and weaving can be a lot more effective with lower centre of mass (think mike tyson) Carl paid a 3pt price for getting a new and more effective capability into his ****nal he was simply getting his eye in with his new skill in a live fight. The 3pts wil be a small price to pay as he will start reaping a bigger reward. Frampton is always bettering himself and this is just another example. Does anyone else agree with me?
