Why couldn't Hopkins solve the Cal-Vinci code?

That's funny, because I'm looking at the OFFICIAL record and it says 46-0.

In my opinion Calzaghe lost that fight to Hopkins, I have watched a fair few times now, (and I am a Brit).

I just can't give that fight to Calzaghe.

But remember you should go with your opinion, just consider mine a second opinion from a complete stranger online - good ole Dwyer.

He did; he beat him and was robbed blind. Maybe judges gave Calzaghe points for attempted bumming? I don't even like Hopkins but he schooled Joe.

[QE=Daddy;16235382]There is no Cal-Vinci code. It's plain and obvious. The man throws (slaps) over 1000 punches a fight, has incredible stamina, odd angles, and a great chin. There is no blue print because those attributes Calzaghe brings to the table is hard to over come.
Hopkins did do something that no other fighter was able to do. And it was to slow Calzaghe's work rate down ALOT more than we are used to seeing.
Calzaghe throwning Only (yes it sound crazy to put only here) 700 plus punches, roughly 300 less than usual.
Even a Master can not over come attributes like Calzaghe's.

So work rate is my choice even tho it was significantly lower than usual.[/QUOTE]

    You forgot.. adaptability.

Simples. Calzaghe was the better man on the night.

Hopkins can't, and couldn't, keep up with the speed anymore. (add Calzaghe's high output, and it's easy to see why he lost)

No coincidence that he beats guys the likes of Pavlik, Shumenov, Pascal and Murat. And loses to Calzaghe and Dawson.
