Why Davis-Lomachenko never happened?

I firmly believe Tank is the biggest waste of talent in the sport of boxing. The guy has phenomenal power plus extremely underrated ring IQ and all round boxing skills. However him and his team seem to have 0 ambition to test themselves at the very highest level. The reason this fight hasn’t happened has little to do with Loma and everything to do with Tank.

 

You said he wasn't ready for Loma and Loma would have spoilt him.

I disagree with that.

I don't think a fighter losing spoils anything. I hate the notion of a protected 0.

I also think if you're a title holder you're ready to face anyone in the world.

 

I don't think an "0" spoils anything, I was using spoil as an alternative to "beaten/defeated" here.

Yes, I agree. Ready or not...............at that point, make it happen or give up your claim to being a champion.

 

Yes I think he'd have been beaten, but for me the best have to fight each other, and what's the point of picking up a belt if you don't think you're the best

 

At this point I got Davis to KO Lona which might happen before he fights Haney TBH.

 

All these younger guys ducked Loma and didn't want the smoke. They only grew some nuts when Loma got older and was fighting well above his natural weight.
