Stop all this nonsense! The fight could have been made anytime DLH wanted it to be made, and at any weight he wanted to fight in......but it did'nt happen because he would'nt give Trinidad a better split % than he had gotten for the first fight. In the hype leading to the first fight, Don King made it a point to make a scene and yell that after Trinidad beat DLH, the purse splits would have to be reversed if DLH wanted a rematch. .....when Trinidad got the decision, all Don King would do at the post fight newsconference was yell the the % of the purse splits that would be in his favor if the fight wanted to be done again..... .....Bob Arum kept yelling for someone to shut that man up. Poor Bob Arum was almost in tears as Don King was in pure esctacy yelling the purse splits.:rofl The fight was never done again because Bob Arum and DLH never budged on the purse % split...... IMO Trinidad had already become a draw, and since he already had beat DLH, a 50/50 split was favorable to both fighters, but DLH would'nt even fathom the idea of the split being anywhere close to that, and so it was never done! Listen up, it is DLH who lost vs Trinidad, if he wanted to avenge that defeat, then it was up to him to make the move and budge at the bargaining table. The same exact thing happened to Shane Mosely as well.....each time DLH lost to him, DLH would only take the rematch if the purse splits were exactly the same as had been for fight one. The fighter who loses is the fighter that has to budge at the bargaining table. DLH has allways been of the thinking that his Royal ass is too Golden to sink to him having to budge! He'll have to live with it, because to this very day, he has yet to beat any of his elite level peers. He's folded down the stretch in each and every one of those fights!!!!
Oscar didn't son anyone. He ran like a ***** the last four rounds and it cost him the decision.:deal Tito sonned Oscar when he told him he could go **** himself and turned him down.
why didn't he rematch tito ... because he never wanted to feel the anxiety he felt during the fight ever again in his life !
Tito is creating the major impediment since he stands by that this ought to be promoted by Don King Productions ( and possibly at 160 lbs) and we all know Oscar is not going to open a precedent putting himself under an alien Promotional Company, that could lead all his GBP fighters to fight once in a while in promotions 100% made by Top Rank, DKP or any other group and that would not strengthen his own group. Otherwise, I feel that Oscar would have no reason to avoid Tito since he'd have the edge, having been active and Tito having not.
Because he didn't want to get robbed again maybe? And as far as Oscar is concerned, he won that fight.
This content is protected Ramon Alcazar helped Tito and Felix Sr in pulling it their way since there was no reason at all for the running. Tito may have hurt Oscar but De La Hoya painted Tito's white trunks red very early with sharp and masterfully executed 1,2,3s, stiff jab, straight right hand down the middle and left hook... But they thought they had it in the bag and blew it BIG TIME... DLH vs Tito II can and should happen but it must be co-promoted if that's possible between Don and Oscar...
Okay Jack.. seeming you are THE authority on scoring a round, why don't you post the rounds you thought Tito won, and then say why he won them.
Oscar clearly won the fight, outlanded him 2-1, schooled Trinidad, and laid the blueprint on how to do so for Hopkins and Wright. Tito since has made outragerous financial demands when clearly he hasnt made over 10 million ever in his career. DLH "plucked his feathers" and sonned him, just like i sonned you gayboy, i thought you were only a floyd boy? You love Tito too? Damn son,:-(
This post ids PROOF that if you repeat a LIE so many times it will be eventually be taken as a fact, even when their is no proof to back it up and all the proof shows the complete opposite.:good
You want to look at the proof, look at any boxing magazine that ranks fighters in the order of greatness.......DLH falls well behind son.....now that is proof!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:deal :deal :deal :deal
Strictly a Don King promoted event? King and Papa Trinidad calling the shots? No matter what you think about the first fight there is no denying that Oscar would be the real draw in a rematch, and it would therefore be promoted by Golden Boy. Even if you are stupid enough to think Trindad beat DLH and is therefore the better fighter, doesn't make Tito the monkeymaker in this fight.
