Why did Eddie Hearn put Ritson in with Vasquez in the first place?

I'm not sure Lewis has a lot of improvement in him. His power overcame his technical deficiencies at Lightweight, where he was enormous, but without the size advantage he's one dimensional and sorely lacking ideas.

 

Unfortunately , i very much agree

He has looked below average at Euro level and i feel needs a new team behind him if there is any chance of moving on

Saturday made my mind up on the latter part for sure

 

Its 100 % bad match making here though

I know you wont find a post from me saying this but i saw this fight announced and genuinely thought he was a bad fit considering the last few fights id seen of Ritson's
I didn't actually care enough about the contest to post about it if I'm honest

However the manner of the win and surrounding controversies has highlighted what was a quite under the radar match

Ritson is young and although i hear people moan about step ups etc and I'm guilty of it to at times,Ritson is a case where i genuinely believe he needs more time at Euro level and by that i meant entry level or he risks derailing a once promising career

 

At least we can forget any talk of a fight with Josh Taylor.
