i hope you mean 2 seperate polls had one 80% and one 56% maidana ahead. and fyi: those are all sports fans and very limited boxing fans on espn and fox1. people had maidana in their memory from just beating the sh!t out of some loud mouth undefeated fighter so obviously they chose him.
the pol on mayweathers site was strickly boxing fans and any fan with common sense knows maidana would get beaten to a pulp with no resistance while khan has attributes that make him very ugly for floyd

i'm a ***** and i didnt ever think about wasting my time to vote on smg that doesnt matter.. NO one from 40-54 has even a chance in winning.

and IMHO kahn is a way way way tougher fight for floyd than paq, lara garcia or anyone else in those weight due 100% to styles..

khan has enough power, ask maidana way more than enough speed, again ask maidan, judah paulie even peterson (kahn was robbed due to the 2 points taken)
add the speed and decent power to a 37 yr old aging fighters with a shorter reach, wow recipe for disaster..

being faster with a longer reach is exactly what a 37 year old doesnt need. i really dont know why floyd would ever take this lose/lose/lose fight. no matter what beating him will get floyd nothing and, there are way easier fights for floyd that will garner actual praise. so idk wtf team money is thinking

It wasn't just a click and vote. It was like a twitter/facebook signin or some ****. Not worth all that.

Anyone who thinks Khan is easier than Maidana is stupid and DKSAB.

Maidana deserves it more, but Khan has the better chance.

Despite what the hype merchants and the PR / media boys would have you believe, nobody is that interested in a Mayweather fight Vs either Khan or Maidana.

I would also suggest that using an online app to cast your vote pissed a load of people off too.

Both options were terrible. Nobody wants to see either fight.

They're far from the best fights out there but I wouldn't mind seeing either one honestly. Especially if Mayweather-Khan ends up with Khan being sparked out that arrogant, smug punk. Now paying $70 for either one is a different story.

The casual fan does not know Maidana as well as Khan:|
I still don't think Maidana is ready for Floyd:think

Bottom line the public would no doubt press for PAC, hell I agree he would make a good fight, but PAC today does not beat FLOYD....Anybody who might say PAC does not deserve a fight is ******ed.:-(....THERE IS NOBODY AT 140 or 147 who can take Floyd out or down IMO:smoke

Because most people have more important things in their lives to worry about, or could give 2 shits about Mayweather, or who he fights next..
The last fight of his I watched was him and de la Hoya, I almost fell asleep, the guy is about as exciting as watching paint dry..

I think people in US dont care much for boxing. Its the Mexicans and Puerto Ricans that carry Boxing. Most of Mayweather big fights have been due to his opponents and not due to Mayweather who has a very fan unfriendly style. People paid to watch Alvarez, Oscar De La Hoya, Marquez, Hatton, Cotto to a name a few in the hopes that their guy beats Mayweather. Neither Khan nor Maidana are either of these two nationalities.
