He's always had a nice straight left. I think that's the one thing I give him credit for, apart from his exciting fights. From a pure boxing perspective, his straight left was textbook. If only he could keep his right hand guard whilst throwing it.
He's made more money fighting clottey, margo, Shane and Bradley since. If had fought floyd he would have lost and missed out on alot of cash He is marketed as the fighter that the worlds best boxer is afraid to fight. Very clever marketing as it means there is more intrest in him and if he loses he has a grudge match with floyd to fall back on, and mayweather allways sells well so he always has the option of one last payday
Exactly. He has been well-marketed. They never intended to put him against Floyd. But act like you're calling the best P4P out, act like you want him, yet behind the scenes do everything to ensure the fight never eventuates, and you've got yourself a hyped up "KO specialist" who the best P4P is apparently scared to face.
How is it ironic? Pacquiao has been very well-marketed. You're a fool to deny this. Floyd didn't call out Pacquiao or act like he was worth his attention. Floyd did not burden the negotiations with anything other than stipulating Manny takes the test by a credible organization that Floyd wanted. IF Manny wanted the fight as much as so many would believe, he would have acquiesced to the testing. Simple. Put yourself in Manny's shoes: You are desperately trying to make a fight with the best fighter in the world. You have never achieved any pay day even remotely close to what the man you want to fight has achieved. All you have to do is agree to ONE stipulation that can in no way detract from your chances of winning said fight. What would you do? I would either: a. Take the test because I wanted the fight; or b. Decline because taking the test could potentially ruin my career if I was indeed using illegal substances; or c. Decline because you - or your promoter - never wanted the fight in the first place. there are no other reasonable outcomes. None.
So either you don't know what ironic means. Or you DKSAB. Or you just love Manny Pacquiao. Cool, do you. You're entitled to be realistic or delusional. Whatever floats your boat.
It's not ironic at all, since pac ducked the initial drug test mayweather has consistently fought better opposition. Everyone was crying he was ducking Mosley when he was coming off one of his best wins, guess what happened. Even PAC fighting Marquez was a cherry pick dragging him up to 147 where he had previously been outclassed and not to mention his age, that turned out well.
I met one. He is knowledgeable in boxing, but has a bias towards pacquiao. but he is smart enough to avoid the tough questions, because somethings from team pacquiao are impossible to defend.
I love how Arum tried to say Floyd has been ducking Mosley for years, when in fact he CALLED him out WAY back and Mosley Ducked him http://youtu.be/OPJhvYXKZK8
