Ref: are you ready to fight?
    AJ: Yes!
    Ref: ready to fight?
    AJ: Ready to fight!
    Ref waves fight off

Do I think Joshua was getting back into the fight, No!
Joshua looked like he’d lost when he came into the ring, certainly wasn’t himself and was displaying some strange behaviours which I haven’t seen from him before.
Finally , what was that delay about when Joshua was leaving his dressing room??

I know there was no three knockdown rule in effect.. but COME THE **** ON!!!!!!!!!

AJ was down BADLY four times... that's it man.

Referee made the perfect call. AJ was completely damaged. Doesn't matter what his mind wanted, his body wasn't going to recover.

to be fair, I rewatched the stoppage, and the referee didnt ask him to step forward actually.

He sais "walk to me" in the previous ko, but not when he stops the fight. So it shouldnt have been a stoppage, isnt it?

Lol the referee was very generous to him. He should have ended the fight on the third knock down. After the first knock down I was shocked at how gun shy AJ became and how out of gas he looked.

Every time Joshua opened up Ruiz countered and hurt Joshua. He never seemed to fully recover from the first knockdown.

Joshua spat his mouthpiece out halfway across the ring. He was looking for extra time, including just hanging on he turnbuckle after the ref asked him if he could continue. He could've ended up getting REALLY hurt if that fight continued on.

Brilliant refereeing. Read AJ's body language and condition perfectly. A bad ending was beckoning.

Ruiz didn't let him. His confidence grew.

It was the accumulated damage that stopped Joshua from recovering. Ruiz landed a few good shots before any knockdown and also clearly took the first round.Ruiz will beat him easier in the rematch.

The over was 6.5 rounds. I believe it got stopped a few seconds before the 130 mark. Does anyone know if it went over?
