Because based on his display against Barrett, Welliver would have beaten Tua.

  3. Because he didn't want to knock Welliver into a coma.

    :huh

Barrett has been stopped numerous times and Tua couldn't KO him.

Welliver has been stopped once, on his feet by Solis when he was grossly out of shape and outclassed throughout the fight. But he still could have continued. I'm not saying Tua couldn't stop him, but today's Tua against today's Welliver, I'd favour Chauncy.

  5. At least Barrett has beaten opponents who had a pulse.

Please, tell me who that bum Welliver's best win was?

Chauncy makes fighters look awkward with his style, and Tua needs a sensational KO after what happened in the Barrett fight. Barrett was supposed to be that sensational KO, but someone forgot to tell him. Anyway, I'd be real surprised if the Chauncy fight led to a Wlad fight.

No reason to rule this fight out just yet. It could still happen in the near future..

I find it hard to believe that this will lead to a direct shot at Wlad, I bet that Tua will take it if it does.

He has financial issues and would love one last title shot for the benefit of the payday even though he would be knocked out for the first time in his career.

Charles, CK said that there was no way Tua would ever take that fight. Circumstances change, and I for one think Chauncy is a good opponent, Wlad or no Wlad.

Yeah I saw that, but how many times have promoters said similar things and then changed their minds later?:good Thanks mate, Chauncy is tough as nails, has good skills, and is a good friend. I would love to see him get a fight with Tua or a title shot someday soon.
