Surely the dozen or so headbutts had something to do with it. Holyfield may have been the better fighter if they fought cleanly. I'm not totally convinced and you have evander to thank for it. It was the butting that made Tyson snap.

Oh please, Tyson was just as bad as Holyfield for them. Go and look at Tyson crying like a girl when he dove in head first and came off second best to the Real Deal.

We'll never know, but my best guess is that he couldn't accept the idea of losing when he had no excuse to fall back on.

Holyfield started it and was allowed to get away with it by two different refs. How many times can you head butt a guy before he bites back?

Poor Mike, he met his superior and couldn't handle it.

Tyson was an addict and wellin his disease, He was was avoiding positive drug by using a fake dong. He hated boxing and himself at that point in his life. Rationalizing his behavior during this period is every bit as fruitful as debating the age old questions of who wins Coley Wallace vs Cliff Clouser or Jack Dempsey vs Jack Dempsey!

He did. I believe in my heart Evander was better than any version of post-prison Tyson. He could have probably done that with out smashing his fore head into Mike as his go to counter. But the ? on weather he could win without that is there. You have Evander to thank for that.

He beat him in the first bout even though Tyson was butting Holyfield, Evander didn't complain and just proceeded to beat the living daylights out of him.

He did that because he knew what was coming, another KO to Evander and he was looking for a way out. He'd already bit him once so he KNEW doing it again would bring a DQ.
