I found I liked busting up white boys, especially those that outweighed me by 50-80 pounds. When I started boxing I was a middleweight and I always matched up with other fighters from Cruiser to Heavyweight. They was always so slow, I tagged them with combinations and had them bleeding before the middle of the 1st round. It was almost like fighting statues made of biscuit dough, they were so slow. Got so none of the white boys would get in the ring with me anymore, and that spoiled my fun until I grew into a LHW.
I don't quite get what that question is asking Boxing as a whole is the only thing I have an interest in and I am good at if that's what you're asking, I do sports science at college for the purpose of boxing, don't watch TV just old fights etc...
Athleticism. In my family we are all athletes, several of us with state championships in wrestling, football, track, and some of us with decent boxing successes. I wanted something that would help me keep in prime physical shape during my off season and see what kind of noise i could make. Then, one I got involved, I really just loved the competition of it! In football, my successes and failures rested on the shoulders of my teamates as well as mine. Only in wrestling and boxing was it a test of athleticism between me and my opponent. These were true competitions to me. Every victory is an accomplishment of you besting another person. And every defeat is just THAT MUCH MORE incentive to get to the gym and go to work to correct what happened. I am not saying that boxing produces the most athletic athletes. What I am saying is that it is the truest contest of athleticism and skill.
used to scuffle a bit and get chumped around by some older guys so i wanted to teach myself how to fight. was a pretty aggressive and athletic kid and it ended up coming very naturally to me, fell in love, and have been doing it ever since. i hope to start competing soon once i can get outta this **** hole town
Always loved boxing but never really thought about getting involved with the sport until a couple of year when i started college ( age 16 ) when a mate of mine had been doing it at a gym where we live, I started doing it just with an idea of getting fitter but now i love it and looking to start competing as an amateur in the new year, For anyone who is thinking of starting boxing definitely give it a go its the best workout ive ever came across and cant beat a long work out now. Love it.
I boxed one of my friends who boxed, got beat up. Decided to get better whent to a gym. Told him that in a month we should box again.... He moved away. Just kept training and fell in love with it.
