Why didn't Canelo 'street fight' Khan?

Exactly. There was no panic or worry from Canelo as he knew it would just be a matter of time. By the end of the 4th you could see Canelo was getting closer and his body shots were having an impact.

Khan always starts quick early it's just pretty obvious though he will slow down. Happens every time.

He was nervous about Khan's power.

Canelo rates his boxing. He even thought he could outbox Floyd. He failed. He couldn't out box Khan either. This found him behind at the time of the stoppage. Luckily he does have power. I think his inside game can improve, it will need to if he even meets Golovkin. There were times in the Mayweather fight that Floyd walked Canelo down. So I tend to think he should avoid a Golovkin fight. It probably wouldn't end well for him. If he takes it, he will still need to improve a lot.

    This.

Over the course of his career, Canelo has has turned exclusively into a boxer. The Floyd fight was the ultimate indication of this. He elected to try to box Floyd instead of using his weight advantage and putting it on Floyd.

Two different styles and tactics, Brooks wanted to trade with GGG. Khan used footwork and speed.
