Why didn't Pacman fight Shane Mosley in 2009?

Roach didn't want Pacquiao near Mosley at that time... Now he's doing the same with Cotto.

Then why did Roach make excuses?

If you follow Roach closely, that's how he has always been. He's never 100% backing up his guy and tends to keep it real sometimes. He wasn't happy about a certain phase during Pacquiao's training for Antonio "Hands of Plaster" and made it clear in public. When Ariza was a part of the team and started causing confusions, Roach wasn't shy to make that clear too. He could have possibly been somehow intimidated by Mosley which is why they first requested the 142lbs Catchweight.

I forgot exactly where I read it, but I remember Roach saying pretty much that they didn't want Mosley then, for whatever reason.

It's because Shane looked good. But once it was obvious he was done, they made the fight.

    I can believe it.

In fact, I used to be really p*ssed about Pac's cherry picking for a period of time back in the day. It wasn't until he was knocked out by Marquez until I warmed up to him.

You have lost your mind coming for Manny's resume. He took on Ledwaba as a 40 to 1 underdog.

He faced prime Barrera, prime Morales and prime Marquez back-to-back-to-back.

I don't usually get critical of other people, but for you I will.

    You're an idiot.

Manny has a stellar resume.. But there was a period of time there where I think his fights were very carefully selected... Obviously not his whole career.

I can hear you on that. Perhaps you are right, but given Manny's track record and resume I think he deserves the benefit of the doubt on his opponent selection.

His cherry picking wasn't the problem for me. It was unusually rise in 08, that did. Sorry, nobody will ever convince me that was natural.

I'm not talking about his whole career. Just this period.
