You are allowed to make a pad out of gauze, nothing else. All that can go on the fighter's hands are tape and gauze, and even those can only be used in a very specific manner. The pads that Margarito used were wet, stained with a substance that looked like blood, as well as another grey substance, appeared to be used, and were firmer to the touch than a normal gauze pad would be. They were illegal. Whether there was also plaster on them, which it seems there were at least some chemicals that should not be present, is almost incidental because there was so much else wrong with them.

they didn't release all of the information on what they found, you are just taking the little information that you actually have on the case and using your own views and desires to shape a reality that is simply false...

he would not have been banned for a year if it was nothing...

now stop trying to defend this cheater... it's really pathetic

WHy would margarito come crying to roach and say that "he didn't know what was going on"

Don't you think if there was nothing that there would have been more uproar and countering from Margarito? NO THERE WASN"T , because he knows he got caught...

Jesus christ, why do you let your racial bias make you this ******ed on this matter? open your god damn ****ing eyes

i kind of understand Uliuili making a thread of Marg under the circumstances. His name's being thrown around as a possible undercard in Arum's event.

Jeezus man Wise up The CSAC CANNOT release information they do not have. They found NOTHING DANGEROUS in those wraps. The CSAC totally screwed this up They banned Margarito BEFORE the wraps had been examined in the lab. They banned him on SUSPICION!!!!!! nothing more Its a travesty

The wraps were illegal. They were obviously illegal, before they were ever tested, because they contained more than gauze and tape, and because they were wet. Whether they contained hardening agents is one point, but they illegal, either way.

The ONLY reason Tony Margarito was banned without a trial is simply because he KICKED MIGUEL COTTOS ASS when he wasnt supposed to
Cotto was supposed to win so Oscar could fight him. But Oscar delaWiener soon backed off when Margarito won didnt he

I don't think the CSAC was "out to get" Margarito. By the time Richardson got to Tony's locker room, a rep from CSAC had already signed off on one hand-wrap. So, if there was anything illegal about it, the CSAC missed it. They were out to save their own asses in the face of an accusation, and they did it at Tony's expense.

That's what I thought but with everyone saying this and that was found in his wraps, I was a bit thrown off....

    Thanks...

Correction, he wasnt banned until after the test results were received back. The original hearing suspended him temporarily until the results were received back. And yes, the CSAC can withhold as much evidence as they desire. They dont have to release any info to the public without a court order.
