Did uysk want fury next? Let's be honest both of them want the Saudi superfight money and that isn't possible till January (was December). Both need to fight this year to stop the ring rust and whilst uysk has a mandatory in dubois who let's be honest isn't near the top 5 level, fury hasn't. You could argue he's playing the long game here. A "fight" in Saudi that gives him not only experience of what to expect and the environment but also a fight that isn't going to affect any superfight and should be relatively easy/shouldn't cause problems like wallin ended up doing. They both get through these fights unscathed and I fully expect the announcement of the January fight in Saudi is on. Unless uysk needs to do another cycle..... It's crap for the sport but hopefully it's a blip.
I also wouldn't be surprised if this Saudi fight is just a way for fury to be paid the extra money he wants for the uysk fight without it being in the negotiations.
Because Wilder was Fury's leftovers, and why should Usyk fight the loser of the Fury - Wilder match-up. Also, Wilder can't even make a fight with Ruiz who is his PBC stablemate, which was supposed to be easy to make. How are they then going to get Usyk, they'd probably offer him 35%, even though he has the belts, saying Wilder is the cash cow, lol. Usyk - Wilder would be a great fight but that's not instead of the rightful winners between AJ-Usyk and Wilder-Fury. Wilder and AJ need to get in on first. It's just an embarrassing and awful look for Fury to fight an MMA guy instead when there is a whole line of more deserving fighters. We got the imaginary carrot stick dangling in front of us saying, but, but, they'll fight in December. That looks very unlikely now that Fury needs 3 months to prep to fight an MMA clubber and the fight is in October.
Dubois lost to Joyce and Joyce lost to Zhang. Talking about leftovers. Fury is fighting some stupid exhibition match, but at least it’s clear for all the see what it is, it’s a circus. The Usyk - Dubois fight gets held up like a legit mandatory fight. But how did a Dubois become mandatory? It’s totally corrupt.
I agree. But like your example at the end of your post, when the plan gets too complicated it can easily fail.
And Joyce lost to Usyk, so Usyk is just trying to beat all of them. I'm pretty sure we get Usyk vs the Zhang-Joyce winner, because both of them will fight anyone.
Light hearted trolling = Controversy Controversy = Discussion Discussion = Page views Page views = Revenue Why would they ban miniq for good? He’s literally a servant at this point, just like shadow111 and what MVC! used to be.
That was in the amateurs though. Amateur fights don’t count toward professional boxing rankings. Although I would favor Usyk to outbox Joyce it was Joyce turn to get a title shot, definitely before Dubois gets one. Amateur boxing results and professional boxing results are very often different between the same fighters as well.
Lol, what a lame attempt to deflect the reality that Fury is ducking Usyk. Wilder has not fought since Helenius so he's been inactive almost as long as Usyk and in Nov 2022 the WBC ordered Wilder/Ruiz Jr so Wilder was not in frame to fight anyone other than Ruiz and of course Usyk/Fury was being negotiated up until March 2023 when the fight fell apart. Then about 2 weeks later Usyk was ordered to face his mandatory Dubois in early April 2023, so the idea that at any time when both Wilder and Usyk both had been ordered to fight someone else, could of been made is pure fantasy. We've been waiting for months for Usyk/Fury to be confirmed for late 2023 in Saudi Arabia and instead we have Fury signing to fight a BS fight with an MMA fighter. That's a clear duck on Fury's part. He either doesn't fancy it or he's hoping to age Usyk out and wait til he looks more vulnerable.
Sweet Jesus Lord, are You sending me a message? If I go to church can we skip Fury / Wilder IV? Feels like I should be doing penances
This is a senseless question. Why would the current unified world champion who just beat the former unified 2x in a row fight someone that is 1-2 (2ko losses) in their last 3 fights and wasn't even ranked as highly as the person he beat for the titles 2x? Does that make sense? When you lose, you're supposed to go to the back of the line..............Wilder doesn't even deserve a title shot against anyone. He lost his belt, then lost his rematch attempt. He's the one that needs to be fighting contenders trying to rebuild.
