You guys are into Mui thay and getting into MMA and Footie and all sorts of other bull**** and to view a fight on TV is almost impossible plus also when you have to root for chumps like MUNDINE it makes it tough to get a following. Fighters on a card have to sell tickets to get paid FFS.... I been there and they have some real die hard fans but they get 0 support and and gets scant exposure on TV there. If it werent for the RSL I would have been ****ed for some of the bigger fights!!!!!I remember sitting there dinking cown lager and eating a tomos meat pie, if it werent for fast friends like OZ I wouldnt have seen **** of boxing down there....memeories sweeten through the ages just like wine.
its a population thing, as well as a sports focus. Australian rules football and ruby are the tough man sports down under..
It's a very small time sport there, there's basically no boxing in alot of the country, just the East coast, mainly Victoria, and it's not like it's a huge sport there either. I don't know why they have their own forum on here, Irelands a more significant boxing country.
