It´s human nature to build groups and seperate themselves from other groups. Be it based on race, religion, nationality or an ideology makes no difference. That´s how we humans roll. Just look up history.

Oh, and don´t spoil the fun. :bart

So because I have a ridiculous username like Loufatski you automatically say i'm Polish? I can give a **** about 70 years ago. It's like me saying I know you're Arabic because "amin" is an Arabic name.

We're arguing about perceptions, friend. And the global perception is that Europe is liberal and accepting and that is patently untrue. By comparison, the US is often seen as racist...home of the KKK, hate crimes, etc. The truth is that perception is not reality and until we discuss these things openly ignorance will continue indefinitely. If you perceive it as a battle of nations, that's fine...that's the myopic worldview. And you're entitled to it.

I didn't say there was. I said there was something wrong with calling black football players "monkeys" and throwing bananas at them. Can you not distinquish between the two?

Germans like winners and modest people. Wlad falls in both categories. That's enough.

some of the comments here are absolutely ridiculous, in Britain we have the BNP who won 2 seats in the EU parliament - a fascist party, i believe in France a very right wing party nearly won not too long ago, spain - as many people have said, has a reputation of being racist at football matches. Europe certainly is generally more liberal than the USA as it consists of older countries that have longer histories and have come to accept one another generally, the USA will more than likely get more liberal as time goes on - look at Obamas health reform - many people (rightly so) supported it and gave the country more equality, there were many ******ed republicans that were against it also - but that is great progress which stops discrimination of the poor

all countries have their own racism problems

Because they have actually witnessed Wladimir’s entire body of work. The casual boxing fans, i.e. the ones that parrot the “Wladimir is boring”, or “he’s a robot” statements have obviously only seen his last three-four fights, and are too lazy to research his career. Fans who have seen the majority of his fights will tell you that he is anything but boring.

    • 8 First-Rd KO’s, 3 First-Rd TKO’s
    • 5 Second-Rd KO’s, and 5 Second-Rd TKO’s
    • 2 Third-Rd KO’s, and 4 Third-Rd TKO’s
    • 1 Fourth-Rd KO, and 2 Fourth-Rd TKO’s
… the list goes on. I’m not lazy, but do your own research.

Wladimir admitted that he has become obsessed with fighting the “perfect fight”, e.g. winning all rounds with nary a glove laid on him, and for the most part, he has accomplished that.

He has also promised to become more aggressive, like his former self. We shall see. I tend to believe that he’s not going to throw it all out the window and come charging in, but styles make fights, and facing opponents who are scared of him doesn't help, either. David Haye presents a style that should make Wladimir much more aggressive.

The Klits are boring in and out of the ring, most american fans like warriors (Holyfield) and badasses (Tyson). That is why HBO dropped them like a ton of bricks. They couldn't generate any excitement among american boxing fans.

Why do you think Wlad is the one on his knees begging Haye to fight him? He understands Haye has personality and a fighting style that is pleasing to american fans. Just like Lewis needed Tyson, Wlad needs Haye.

This isn't hard to figure out. You have generally accepted each other because you have small minority population that are crowded in specific location so you don't have to encounter them. Realy, what is the minority population of Spain, Italy, Germany? It about a third in the U.S...which is why we have come a long way and things like swastikas and chants of money at football games (NFL) don't happen. :D

I do not agree with calling them monkeys (unless they have it coming to them :D). I think there's a Black player and Brazilian player on the Polish National Team and there's no problem. I follow worldcup football.
