o **** off...i was merely trying to let the guy know he had a good point i forgot to mention...the emoticon was the closest thing to convey a simple agreement. AND ITS LOSE douchebag... as far as the bull**** im reading in this quote, I've always found Margarito to be vastly overrated and far too successful in a division that he has a HUGE unfair advantage over most of his opponents (excluding PW) But from my understanding...you were TRYING to say that when a fighter is dubbed as "exposed" it typically comes from a non-latino crowd. IYO This is another thing about performance. Miguel Cotto was no.4 on the p4p before losing to Margarito and has significantly dropped to around 8 or 9 since then...that's a big ****in' drop! So spare me this horse**** about "they stay on the list" when you're number 4 you have some ****in' room to drop. My god HE LOST ONCE! IN A BATTLE OF A FIGHT NONETHELESS. When one latino legend battles another its typically in a dramatic fashion that it's hard to call either a loser or drop them off the list. Castillo vs. Corales Vasquez vs. Marquez MAB vs Morrales All involved heavy bombs being thrown. BLOOD EVERYWHERE! And multiple knockdowns from both sides. To say that either fighter was exposed or doesnt deserve some sort of credit EVEN FOR LOSING, is a ****in' shame! These fights represent the title "GLADIATOR SPORT"! if you can name me, European battles or American or Asian that is as dramatic as the above mentioned then by all means...what i've said is bull****
JMM deserves to be no 2, and is the current P4P no 2 above Calzaghe; live with it. In fact the majority of the forum in a poll thought JMM deserved to be no2.
Because latinos are bad asses most of them don't duck anybody, and have lived tough lives and comes to fight, and are taking over the sport if Latinos where not fighting the sport would be death by now.
Its because latinos just have that special something that u only get by being born in a latin place same for eastern europeans
Most Latino fighters come from obscurity without any fanfare untll they have 20 + wins and almost nil losses. Others with more losses are weaned out and never get any international publicity at all - meaning, those that managed to see the limelight are the real gladiators (fighters that can win the championship and give the fans a real slambang). American and British fighters get all th media/print mileage by the time they have a 10 win record. Imagine the amount of media hype that can be generated by the time they reach a 20 win record. Most will be a bust before they reach that plateau to the dismay of the readers. These type of over exposure to the readers/fans tends to create a vacuum in their hearts everytime the boxer fails. Those false expectations plays a big factor in the fans biases. So generally speaking, Latino fighters that comes into attention are battle tested veterans that more often than not get to the pinnacle of succes or still maintain that aura of invincibilty even in the throes of defeat unlike those overhype fighters that falls every now and then.
thats because Latino's are warriors....how often do you hear the word European and warrior in the same sentence?? i'm black but, alot of my favorite fighters now and of all time are Latino's.....they're just a different breed from white fighters, when was the last time you saw a white fighter like Cotto, get in the ring with a much bigger, stronger fighter thats one of the top fighters in the division?
