Vitali took back that honor when he KO'd that fat Cuban. :deal

Both Klitschkos fought their entire careers at Heavy too, something Haye can't say.

yes but wlads power is planted behind a defensive shell. Most heavyweights. dont have the speed & reflexes to see it coming.

Haye on the other hand has real speed and when you can move as fast as him without losing punching power that makes for a very dangerous combination.

Regarding the issue of speed and lateral movement
Remember it's the punches you cannot see or predict that cause the most amount of damage this is one of the reasons Pacquiao has become successful(at lesser weight of course) especially against Clottey and cotto. they couldn't predict where he was punching from or where to throw to & although he lacks ko power(except if your hatton who drops his left just in time:patsch)it made him dangerous and his obvious defensive flaws became unexploitable. Haye's asset is definitely his punch speed and movement.

Klitschko on the other hand is a better fighter than most give him credit for. he reinvented his style under the tutelage of manny steward and it made him into an unbeatable fighter(with regards to his choice of opponent) although his style is not exciting to watch it has the desired effect. Caution first then throw. His style relies heavily on keeping his opponent on the end of his stiff jab unleashing his lethal straight right then grabbing or backing up behind that stiff jab. his game plan often involves using counter defensive techniques such as jab and grab if the fighter gets within punching distance. his opponents often tire from the efforts in trying to get inside and often he stops them late. Conditioning is a key factor as klitschkos style is made to make you work and weaken almost like trying to jump through a brick window:D Haye has to dictate the pace from the first bell using speed and movement to make wlad work. He must also be patient and not allow himself to jump in otherwise it could be an early night. I feel should Haye use the correct game planhe will win comfortably but should he underestimate Klitschko then it could all go horribly wrong.

Haye does NOT possess HW power. His jaw was first cracked by Carl Thompson who took all Hayes power for 4 rounds before putting him on ***** street. Haye's in with the best right now at HW, good luck.

Haye has power, there is no doubt about that. People talk about his power more than Wlad's because everyone with any sense knows Wlad is capable of beating Haye, but the question is; is Haye capable of beating Wlad? He has the speed and power that are probably essential to beat the current Wladimir, so that's what people talk about

I think everyone is ignoring experience though. Wlad has 58 fights, Haye has less than half as many. Wlad had the better amateur career and has been fighting top heavyweights for over a decade now. Haye had a good (but relatively short) cruiserweight career but has little experience fighting prime heavyweights. Valuev was a good win, but the others were far from the sort of fights that would prepare a guy for Wlad Klitschko. When you take that into account 'styles make fights' is only half of the picture

    No.

That distinction belongs to the WBC champion.

It will take multiple clean shots for Haye to win. Delivered consistently over more than one or two rounds.

Haye's punches are wide, his is off balance, very bad chin, bad stamina, not much experience, could not knock out an old Carl Thompson while landing everything he threw! Thompson, an old cruiserweight, went on to knock Haye out! Vlad has more power in his left jab than Haye has in his left hook or right hand.

Haye goes into the cow's mouth and comes out the other end as fecal matter! Is that why Haye has diarrhea of the mouth?

Decent post but how exactly was Valuev a good win? I guarantee multiple top 10 contenders(other than Wlad and Vitali) beat Valuev the same or worse than Haye.

    He doesn't have this.

In heavyweight fights, he has a KO percentage of 80%.

    Vitali has 88.5%
    Wlad has 84.5%

Even if he was to knock out Wlad, Haye would only have a KO percentage of 83.5% in heavyweight fights.

Unless you want to count Cruiserweight - but there is a big difference between cruiser and heavy - so that would be stupid.

If you're bringing up Hayes fight with Thompson (when Haye gassed) then it's only fair to mention Wlad getting demolished by Ross Purity
