Why would you dislike a fighter just because he has a weak chin? Anyway, I've not seen any of these videos of him acting a ****, and he has some good fighters on his resume for a 23 year old who hasn't been a pro for all that long, if not any real punchers.

We're a very small country. We don't see world class fighters coming out of our country that often.

Ive never known any boxer as get as big as Khan whilst still an amateur.

After the olympics, an amateur rematch bout was held with Mario Kindelan (the guy who beat Khan to the gold). Khan was the headliner and it was shown on national mainstream tv.

Most british title fights arent even shown on mainstream tv!

Khan had too much too soon in my opinion and it hasn't helped his attitude.

apart from Ali, people hate showboating boxer most of the time
in Khan case, its more than that, he dont have much of big quality win, yet some of his fans think he's actually the real superstar of the sport right now... and after that 1st round KO, people just love to make fun of him which you cant resist.

I agree with you Irons, his race is not the prime reason he is hated. But it's just a small contributing factor, and of course down to the individual like you say. Furthermore, I have plenty of Pakistani friends who despise him for the reasons you mentioned earlier. So yeah clearly, race doesn't come in to it for most people.

    wtf :huh

When has Khan ever bragged about his religion? Even if you compare him to simple guys like Mayweather and Bradley, Khan mentions very little of his religion or God in interviews.

He is a bit of an idiot. I'm certainly not a fan, but I don't dislike him enough to not take an interest in his fights. In the ring he is exciting and the fact he could be KO'd by any big puncher makes for interesting watching.

I want to become a fan, but his personality is difficult to warm to. Especially after those pathetic twitter comments after Froch lost.

People hate on him because he has cherry picked opponents after his loss to Prescott. I think it is forgivable given his age and the fact that he will step up soon. Many prospects don't step up until their late 20's anyways.

I can't tell you why EVERYBODY dislikes Khan, but i can tell you why i do...

The main reason, it all started from when i met him at a Danny Williams fight. It was when he'd just turned Pro, and since i'd watched him through the Olympics, was actually quite looking forward to seeing him. Anyhow, he come's across as modest, humble, etc in his interviews, but at that time in his career he was the exact opposite, anyhow it put me off him a bit.

Then come's the constant **** that come's outta' his mouth, the stupid quotes he come's out with. Don't get me wrong, there's having dreams and aspirations, but when you avoid fighter's on your own level, you discredit the right to talk about fighting the best in the world. I think he should of built his career up the right way, taking on top domestic talent such as John Murray. You can't blame him for bypassing domestic fighters for stardom and fame, but he must understand for doing that he will never be taking seriously and earn respect.

As for the whole racist issue, i'll admit our country is pretty racist. Me myself do not count myself as racist, but some of the demands our own goverment try to enforce incase it offends Muslims, Polish, etc is pretty bad. This is the reason for people disliking Khan via the racist issue.

I must admit, since getting with Roach, although he's come out with some pretty amusing and stupid remarks, he does seem to of calmed down a bit. Deep down i'd like to see Khan do well, but until he step's up and fight's real, dangerous opponent's he will never have my respect. We'll see what the future hold's for Khan, but in my mind he'll be stopped by the first live, dangerous opponent he come's across, even though earning my respect, and a lot of other people's by stepping up to it

Come on guys, he's 23 years old.

I'll repeat that. 23 years old.

He's a kid in boxing terms, he's got another probably 10 years of fights left in him, he's got a world title already, he's calling out the people who everyone claims he's avoiding. Just give him a chance. Even I admit he was riding a massive wave of publicity after his Olympics feats, but who wouldn't? It did get to his head and he was humbled by Prescott.

But surely you have to respect what he's done since? Is his defense not better? Isn't he a but more measured in his approach to fights? His attitude is right.

And with regards to the trash talking - I admit as well he's better off doing his talking with his fists but again, which boxer doesn't talk? You got to promote yourself a bit, positive or negative. In fact it probably is a good thing they hate because hate him or love him, you will pay to see him either way!

Enjoy the Kid while it lasts.

I respect Amir, he has talent, and look forward to seeing his fights...

However, he needs to drop the fake cholo'd out gangster rapper wannabe friends....Mr. Capone-E.....the guy that was at the weigh-in that caused the scuffle in the first place.......If that ass clown wasn't there, I'm skeptical khan gets the balls enough to shove malignaggi...knowing full well his supporters outnumbered paulie in that room......

Having a fake cholo like mr. Capone-E is not going to win the hearts and minds of americans, that khan wants to do.......Drop the ghetto rappers, Amir...
