Why do people hate Margarito?

So he is P4P better than Pavlik? Pavlik would KTFO of Margarito.

 

I dislike how he and his nuthugging fans talk **** but are unwilling to back it up.

 

He's overrated, but he gets disrespeceted beause of his nuthuggers.

It's impossible to understand the hatread of Margarito without understanding the degree of nuthuggery that exists for Floyd. Margarito was the wall to Floyd's WW 'greatness,' and a lot of people can't handle that.

And until last weekend, they had pretty much been allowed to say moronic things like "Well, if Margarito defeats Williams, and then beats Clottey, and then walks to the moon with no spacesuit and follows that up with a KO over Wlad, THEN he will be deserving to fight Floyd."

That's over now. The burden is on the punk PBF, and the Floyd Boys know it. So does Max Kellerman.

I said it as soon as it happened: Floyd retired because he knew Margo would beat Cotto and he didn't want to get called out, again.

That's why they hate Margarito. He snaps flashy fighters in half, and their fans fear him more than any other.

You started the name calling you ****ing idiot. So how do you think I'm going to respond? Now, you remember this **** face: if you think you are going to have the last word, you better think again. You started it, I'll finish it. And honestly, I do hope Margarito moves up in weight class and face a guy comparable to Pavlik. Let see if his swarming, upfront, forward style will help him against much more powerful and equally as determined opponents as he is. That chin that gave him an advantage at 147; hmm..., let's see what more bludgeoning punches will do to him.

 

I apologize for my verbal assaults as I am not that type of person. I respect and actually admire Margarito's win over Cotto and shows how much in the end he wants it more. When I made my critique over his style, I was trying to say that for a welterweight, he is tall and thus has a height and reach advantage over most others. What I was trying to get it is that will his style and physical attributes still aid him in the next heavier division at 154 and if he goes to 160. I would say it just doesn't suit him so he needs to adapt and have some polish to his style. That's all. I only interjected Pavlik in a P4P sense. If they met in the middle say 154 which would never happen, I think Pavlik still has more power to beat Margo but you never know what his chin and will what may happen.
