Why do people hate Margarito?

Its good to see ppl admitting to mistakes and getting along on here. We all get a lil carried away sometimes. Even myself.

i think it has to do with the fact he does some ******* **** like taunting cintron when he is down (and on a sidenote, I have nothing against stuff like that I actually think it is pretty ****ing cool). People are haters and will always hate. the reason I hate him? That bull**** stunt him and bob arum pulled after the clottey fight with that fake ass armband trying to save face and also marg disputing his loss to paul williams, i mean the ****ing guy acted like it WAS A ROBBERY. I mean, cmon marg, you lost fair and square so just admit the **** and take him in the rematch.

 

Because he wins fights by taking punches until the other guy runs out of steam or breaks his hands, then bullies his opponents with inaccurate punches and uses his ridiculous size and reach advantage to win.

I don't hate him at all. There are very few fighters I "hate", the only one that comes to mind right now is Hatton.

My only problem with Margarito is not with him at all, it's his fans who seem tot hink he's the second coming of Jesus. I mean the guy is no better than a 50/50 favor over any other "top" welterweight, and yet people try to hold him in higer regard than effing Mayweather.

For ****s sake if you can't see that this guy is "hit-or-miss" in a big fight right now, you're down-right blind. Looking at rings top 10 welterweights, I'd say every one of them has what it takes to beat this guy.

First of all, Margarito doesn't use his height, at all. That's ridiculous. Secondly, Margarito has the same short reach as a fighter like Miguel Cotto from the armpit to the end of the fist.

 

I don't hate Margarito. I hate what his fans and the press are doing on his behalf. He hasn't earned the distinction as the best Welterweight. He hasn't beaten everyone he's faced in his division. Why can't any of his fans see this? If anything, we should refrain from crowning anyone Top Welterweight and let them fight it out.

Like one Margarito butt-boy said:

"Margarito would beat Williams in a rematch, and he's already beaten Clottey, so he is the top WW"

That kind of presumptuous thinking that he would beat Paul, just because he said so, is what makes it hard to root for the guy.

Plus he whined like a ***** after he was clearly beaten. This after he was FORCED to fight him in the first place.
