Why do people try to downplay Holyfield's first win against Tyson?

I love to use sarcasm, one of the main reasons I hate technological communication. It gets lost so easily though, can be funny when someone calls you out on a ridiculous post when they don't realise

 

Oh, I wouldn't cry too hard for Evander, he got plenty of love for that. The Ring even took to ranking him #3 all time at HW after that win, which is just absurd.

If people don't fall all over themselves slobbering with praise now 19 years later, it's because with time we are afforded the gift of context.
