Dude...I'm cautious of STD's.....I don't fear them. There is a HUGE difference between one actually being FRIEGHTENED and on being cautious due to having an understanding of the situation.

Of course Marg is aware of the challend Paul presents...he was aware of the challenge Cotto presented too. But he is not nor ever will be scared of anther man in the ring. It's not in their DNA to be scared man. Cautious, YES.

Marg is being critiqued harshly not b/c he's actually ducking Paul....all this newly found fame and accolades brought out the "haters" and no one is immune to this....all the past greats went through it when their time on top was upon them and as you could see with Floyd, DLH, Roy Jones, ALI, ect,...ect...ect.. there will be nay-sayers or as I like to call them "haters" who will have their negitive spin on things.

And if Paul was Aurto and Arturo put on the same kind of preformance paul did....marg would be just as cautious.....Even if Gatti never faced Tony, but Gatti was a big name and a viable opponent Tony still wouldn't accept the fight right away....Why?

Here is why.....Tony still has BETTER options on the table that need to be analyzed and worked through. DLH is a HUGE reason Marg hasn't said who he wants to fight......anther factor is he's still fresh off his career defining WIN. Give the man some time to breath and take in his accomplishment. They'll eventually get down to business as well as the business of fighting.

I agree with this 100%. But I never claimed that marg didn't know what time it is when speaking of Paul. Paul is a real threat and Marg knows this, but he also is a warrior and I'm sure he wants to avenge his loss. Marg is confident in his ability and he's confident going up against Paul for a rematch. But just bc he's not talking about it now or singing papers doens't mean the man is Running scared, which is how many of you are trying to paint this picture. He's just taking his time and enjoying his moment. And he's PRAYING that DLH accepts his challenge. That is #1 on Margs list as DLH is on everyone's hit list.

I think Marg is smart enough to know that Paul is going to be around....if its not him taking out Paul there are slim pickins to whom will be able to do it. So Marg isn't waiting until someone takes him out.. You all are reading too far in to this and reaching for explanations when the simple answer is "TIME" and "MONEY".

there hasn't been enough time that has passed for Marg to sign to fight anyone and there is TOO much money on the table with a potential DLH fight to get marg to lean any way but towards a DLH fight.

This is true, but it's still BULL****. The only reason he wants to fight Oscar is for the money. Then he shamefully tried to use the excuse of avenging JCC, because he KNEW he was being a hypocrite.

What ever happened to just go out and fight who is the best in your division instead of letting $$$$$ completely guide you?

Man....I can't imagine what it's like to have even a cool $1 Mill, but "they" say...money changes everything. Marg just recently has fallen in to making this kind of paper. And he knows hes not getting younger in a sport not meant for OLD MEN. He's trying to get paid and I can't fault him.

Not only that but to have a "W" over DLH! Man you can't beat that with a stick. 20 yrs from now barely anyone will know that DLH was past his pime, shot or an old man. They will just know it's a BIG win over a Hall of famed fighter who owned the P4P list during a stretch in his career and it can only add to his legacy.

The fight is just appleaing on so many levels. Plus...as you know, the risk isnt nearly as bad as facing the man that is causing all this contreversy.

I can't say the excuse of avenging the loss of the mexican Legend JCC wasn't corny nor a laughable excuse....but again....Money can change things!

The days of just fighting the best regardless of pay are long gone! The sport has evovlved into more of a business as almost every mainstream sport has.

Don't worry man....I honestly know this fight will happen... I'm jsut not sure when.

What a stupid ****ing statement. "A 7-5 win over a guy that obviously doesn't try to win on points". What the hell does that have to do with anything? So it makes his win no good because he beat Margo by points?:patsch

The bottomline is that Margo needs to step up to th plate and try to avenge his loss to Williams. The reason why Margo isn't so confident as his fans are is that Williams will outowrk him again. He has the size, stamina and workrate to beat Margo at his own game. He'll keep Margo on the outside with his suprior reach and jab and tie him up when Margo gets in to close. He has Margo's number and Team Margo really want nothing to do with Williams.

It is becoming more and more painfully obvious that Margo's people have no interest in fighting Williams again. He has talked about every fighter out there as a possibility, but realizes as soon as he utters Williams name, he will be FORCED to sign the offer that is out there.

I bet Bob Arum has told him "Whatever you do, Don't mention the name PAUL WILLIAMS, cause then we'll catch hell trying to turn that fight down"

I can see Arum saying that as well. I'm waiting for Margarito to say "Who the hell is Paul Williams"

Unfortunately, he can't pull that card. Or my other favorite cliche, "who has he fought"

Thats why I think its best PBF retired because all he was interested is becoming another oscar. I wouldn't doubt it if he coined those phrases.

I dont understand Williams invincability. He has been outboxed by Quintana. Q can say he underestimated Williams just as much as Williams can say about Q. Aside from that he has a close win agianst Margo and now no can beat him?

What does Quintana have to do with Margarito. Why are you Margarito fans trying to pull that card? CArlos doesn't want Paul, that is why he isn't pushing for a rematch, I have posted his feelings on the situation over and over.

Margarito needs to fight Williams to decide who the WW champion is, if he doesn't he is simply ducking him, going by you Floyd haters' logic.

flip side is that margarito finally has the win (and recognition) he's always needed, so he's entitled to play with the big boys and big bucks now.

williams is a player but he needs a big name now.

So I take it you had no problem with Floyd doing the same thing then?

I think the options are clear, since Tony made his name on calling out people and saying they were ducking him he has to perform since he made it to the top. He should face his 1# challenger to the championship. Right now he has a 4 million dollar offer from Williams, I doubt he will get that much from Clottey and fighting Cotto proves nothing.

if you mean floyd having that luxury isn't fair then welcome to the business side of boxing. it's here to stay.

even the best of the rest have to get in line sometimes. that's just the way it is and it reflects also the limited financial clout boxing stars have.

I mean did you have no problem with Floyd chosing to fight Baldomir, De La Hoya, and Hatton? If you didn't we have no beef, if you did I would say you are hypocritical.
