A lot of people doesn't care about his personal life..people love him because he performed well inside the ring, especially in his prime
he must be one of the most exciting boxers ever, if not the most one.. once he stepped in the ring you could feel his presence through the tv screen..He was a beast, a fightingmachine that pleased the crowd with his fighting.. hell i would still watch an old fight of him before wlad vs... anyone live and wlad is the "champ"... his personal life is a different matter that most of boxingfans don't care so much about, we want fighters in the ring not jehovas witness
hmm says... dude was full of crazy.. raging testosterone of a man who's downfall was women. Tyson: "I'ld like to thank god for giving me the opportunity to fornicate with so many beautiful women in my life."
I love the man I really do, the first boxing match i saw was Tyson and I was amazed by the ferocity, speed etc. I really doubt there will be a bigger name in boxing ever, tyson to boxing is Jordan to basketball and Beckham to football, everyone, everywhere knows who they are. I believe the media love him because he is a loose cannon. Its the same with any celebrity, when they are doing their job, whether it be singing, dancing, fighting or kicking balls around, the minute they go off the rails it sells papers. Amy Winehouse for example.
People know him as a beast but actually he was a mentally unstable, insecure guy who was exploited by managers/promoters and even his own wife.
That may be true today. But when he was the world champion, he was loved then even more than now. When he was champion, he wasn't flawed, he was the best in the world, he was a force of nature smashing through every living human on the planet. It was incredible to watch. He really was the "baddest man on the planet". Every kids' champion and every kid's nightmare at the same time. To describe seeing a prime Tyson fight live as exciting doesn't do it justice. It was amazing!
He is an inspiration because he shows you can come from nothing and nowhere and climb all the way to the top of the world.
One of the things I loved about early Tyson was that he had 26 fights in his first 21 months of boxing......and most results ended in KO round 1 or 2.
