Why does Chavez keep getting away with not taking drug tests?

    When Mandera requested Inspector Tapia force Team Chavez to weigh the gloves, Tapia's response was, "I'm the boss here. I say whether or not we inspect the gloves and we're not going to."

    According to the same source, Mandera then asked Chavez's trainer Freddie Roach to weigh the gloves 'In the spirit of fairness,' but Roach refused as well stating, "We don't have to so we're not going to."

    Either he is wrong or HBO is wrong.

    What's funny is that I was specifically listening to a fight broadcast hoping to hear if Jr. took the test or not. Funnier still, that HBO would feel compelled to state that he did not give the sample, he is an HBO fighter after all.

    Chavez is ****.Hes almost a crusierweight beating up on middleweights.
    He should have lost 2 fights that he didnt.Hes got the famous name thats about it.

    mexican boxing is dying they dont have a superstar like chavez sr, barrera or morales, so they are trying to manufacture one

    and from the assembly line came junior that's the reason he gets away with anything....

    remember mexico is a big market 113,423,047 million people from a crazed boxing loving country with like 30 million more in the US... is a business decision they are making a lot of money with chavez jr...

    he has the name, the ethnicity all you need to do is build some hype give him a bogus belt, and you have a money making machine...

    boxing is not about fighting anymore is about marketing, building up your profile and once you have a big recognizable name with millions of fans you will make lots of money and have every advantage they can give you
