Why does Deontay Wilder get so much hate?

I think hate is the wrong word. More like fans are waiting for him to confirm he is what they thought. You could say exposed as a glass cannon type.

In fact Wilder was exposed in his last fight. His opponent who was Ko'd twice in round one before rocked and hurt Wilder, and exposed some technical flaws.

With Wilder its the hype and those who buy into him that rubs most the wrong way. He's packing glass in his jaw, and has the legs of a new born deer.

I would say Wilder is 3rd to 6th best right now. He's just another contender who happens to have a belt for now. I'm glad he's here. Fight Wlad, Povetkin, Jennings or Fury next. A win vs. any of them, and the critics will give Wilder his due.

I'm not a fan of Wilder AT ALL. I just don't see what there is to dislike. He's humble and respectful to his opponents. He has a fan friendly style. He's not the best or the KO monster they make him out to be, but what's not to like?
