Why does Floyd not understand that looking great is not the same as being great?

Lol he busted your ass again but I see you left the JCC Sr at 135 part off your quote, you're obviously desperate and irrational, I fully expect a "I'm leaving y'all have fun" type exit from the thread really soon.

As long as the 0 is there, people will tune in whoever he decides to fight. If his 0 was taken early he would have been forced to fight everyone the public demanded for big money. That's how it is in boxing these days and as long as it is successful future fighters will sadly follow the same path. You can never guarantee a safe fight in boxing especially when one punch can change it all but you can secure something safe enough stylistically.

I give floyd respect for whoever he fought, the guys he hasnt fought is where the problem is. that is obvious besides that him beating marquez up is oki but it adds 0 to his legacy unless marquez proves himself at 140+, so therefore him bragging about it is stupid. the mosley win was good and him fighting ortiz now is decent, I think it will be a good fight, if not pac directly who should he have fought? bradley would have been a joke, floyd fights at welter ortiz is a beltholder and the number 2 welter behind pac now, so his choice is decent.

Baldomir was the lineal and undisputed welterweight champion, fact.

Miguel Cotto was a Jr. Welterweight in 2006 who made his Welterweight debut against Quintana, fact.

Antonio Margarito's biggest career win at the time was Andrew "Six Heads Zero Chins" Lewis, fact.

Paul Williams made his very first 12 rounder debut in 2006, fact.

Shane Mosley was busy fighting Fernando Vargas at Jr. Middleweight and public turned down a fight with Mayweather to clear the way for DLH, fact.

and where did pac fought marquez the first two times? also pac would be fighting jmm at 144 and probably will make the weight. floyd fought jmm at 144 and weighed 146.

Style-wise, Bradley would have been a much better fight than Ortiz in my opinion. Ortiz is a boxer puncher that waits, how the hell would he be able to outbox Mayweather or even dare "wait" against him?. Ortiz is too green for someone in Mayweather's experience.

I accepted the Marquez fight because Mayweather was coming off 2 years of inactivity but clearly knew there's absolutely nothing to brag about when he comes out victorious.

To answer the question. I "suspect" it is because: 1.In the Olympics it is about scoring the most points who wins. Impressing the Judges is a primary concern. 2. Taking that same premise into professional boxing you are still judged by scoring points and that is exactly what Floyd's game is about. Now having said that, no one but Floyd can tell you if he truly believes he is great or if the persona he wears reaches into he core person.

It doesn't matter where pac fought him before, the fact is he is fighting him again at WW. 2 weightclasses north of his division. But it's okay when pac does it but not mayweather. Pac can fight marquez but marquez to small for mayweather but pac not to small for mayweather, but pac v marquez apparently the same size.

He bloated JMM to an agreed 144, only to cheat him and come in 146 on the scale. Then rehydrating to 154+ is just a fair fight huh? Deym, how long is this stupidity gonna last? :hat

But with ortiz you get the feeling the guy is big, can punch so you never knowm he also has a chip on his shoulder.
On the other hand bradley, lacks the power and size to beat mayweather, floyd gives him a beating everytime.

Evil Floyd cheated Pacquiao, Godsend Pacquiao will make 144 because Floyd didn't. God loves Pacquiao.
