Imagine the fuss if Khan was American though?Look at the Grant, Lacey etc hype, and hes far more promising.
    Be huge.

This absolutely isn't my personal way of thinking, but I'm going to be blunt here. It would be a cold day in hell here in America before a sub-heavyweight Muslim fighter gained an adoring following of hype mongerers. It's not right, but it's true.

Anthony Peterson is at least as good a prospect as Khan right now, and outside of a few ESPN appearances, you don't hear jack about him in the general media. He doesn't even come up here on ESB very often.

Now I like Gamboa. But this is double standard at its best!

So called experts here have already designated Gamboa as a future ATG, a Mayweather and RJJ like superstar in the making. :rofl
When Gamboa at 26 with 400 plus amatuer fights gets dropped and struggles against a journeryman, oh its a just a blip it happens, hes learning! Clearly he's nothing more than a good prospect.

Khan at hist 13ht pro fight, 20 at the time with pretty much only 15-20 senior amatuer fights gets dropped by Limmond everyone says its he's the biggest fraud there is. And Khan was easily winning the fight till he got careless and took it for granted.

Gamboa has gone from massively overrated to massively underrated. That was only his 10th pro fight. Amateur is a whole other game. There is so much hype around this kid it seems some of it got to his head and he may have gotten the reality check he needed.

I mean people are now saying Gamboa has no potential, just because he got 1 flash knockdown in his 10th pro fight. Rediculous. If anything this fight will make him a better fighter.

its sad there is no middle ground on esb. Gamboa still has a ton of potential, massive natural ability, and obviously he is very dedicated in training.

He better keep his weight in check though. Make sure he's successful at 130 before moving up to 135.

Gamboa did not get exposed. The only people who got exposed are the ones who were overrating him, saying **** like "He can already beat Pacquiao or JMM"

Limond is a domestic cream puff with no punch, Jimenez is a world fringe contender with a punch, big difference and Gamboa only lost the round with the KD, which was a temple shot. The rest he easily won, got tagged in some, but still easily won.

This is not comparable with ****-****er Khan. Gamboa also proved a good chin.

Bozo's, getting dropped by Willie Limond is a serious difference from getting dropped by Jimenez, especially considering Khan's a lightweight. Jimenez can punch, the guy just sparked Anchondo in his fight prior and was on a 6 fight KO streak, Limond was undersized against Khan and if you'll check his record, couldn't even stop many domestic cans that had been stopped many times prior, a total featherfist.

Gamboa would dispose of Limond very easily, he'd get nothing in retaliation to worry about.

Jimenez in fact would be dangerous for Khan, as he can punch a little and all it takes with Khan seemingly is 1 on the button shot.

Another difference, Khan was really hurt by Limond, Gamboa was KD'd, but not really hurt and the shot was on the temple at that, he jumped up at the count of 2, Khan took 8 or so.

Learn a little about boxing, some of you imbeciles.

Let these ****ing idiots rejoice in their rejection to the big hype, but they will be continually proven wrong, as always with Supernatural fighters.

Calling Khan on par with him?:rofl

Calling Linares better as a prospect?:rofl

You wonder what they even watch, what I saw from Gamboa last night was highly impressive. So he needs defensive work? BIG DEAL, like some defensive work can't be made, his offense, aside from throwing a little too much, is incredible and he has great defensive instincts.

Proved a chin also. Instead of fighting a Willie Limond, or an undersized, shot Larios, they put him in there with a hard hitting dangerman and he wins 9 rounds out of the 10 in brutal fashion.

    What do they WANT?:hey

    Please man.

Im not making Khan out to be Marvin Hagler but to base your opinion off of 1 KD where he got up and beat the brakes off the other guy is just utter bull.

If everytime in history that a boxer got hurt or KD by a fighter that was:

    A) Was not on their level

    B) Was not a heavy hitter

Then there would be a fair few ATG's that were nothing.

One shot on the Button based on 1 KD is utter bull. :good
