Yeah but I find the diffrence between how Khan gets treated and Gamboa when they have similar issues, from people who know what they are on about most of the time. Well a bit pish. :good

ali got put on the floor, and damn near ko'd against henry cooper, who aint that big a puncher, yet is deemed to have an iron chin.

kahn has been properly hurt once, and recovered well enough to knock him out in the next round.

    one bad moment.

gamboa has been down twice, and has far more experience than khan. (granted amateur exp, but the point remains).

maybe khan is chinny - so what? it doesnt stop a great argument for lennox lewis being possibly the best heavyweight h2h of all time does it?

give khan a break, he's not being rushed, maybe his camp are worried about the chin, but he's only 21, and might still fight for a title soon, let him grow - give him at least 20 fights before you criticise completely!!!

It's amazing how people have the tendency to downgrade the opponent Jimenez is not a yoke this guy got a good resume and a good jaw never lost the drive and was very game even he was outclassed by a better fighter Gamboa will get better I'm sure he learned a lot from his first 10 round fight.

    you said it

guess people don't take into account that gamboa is 26 and had all those amateur fights.

i ****ing swear he's the most protected fighter here. obviously not as a pro, because his resume shows that. But jesus christ if you point out any negative flaw about him you'll be attacked like you stepped on a bee hive or something.

and amsterdam is too biased, no one should really take him serious. if he wasn't a fan of gamboa, no doubt in my mind he'd be like "he has a questionable chin" ect..

    :-(

I'm sure every1 in the boxing world called Anthony Mundine a glass chinned joker when he was layed on his ass By Ottke he went 12 rounds with kessler and wasnt hurt once,
punch resistace improoves over time, theres fighters whov been KTFO by guys with below average power yet later on in there careers there chins turned out to be decent enough, khan needs some time to blossom. He does everything hes told, he fights regularly and is put in with decent enough opposition for some one his age

Amstadam Your talk is cheap my friend your like an old record playing the same tune, heres the thing by your logic St claire who was a belt holder and was a fringe world class contender should have already exposed khan for the fraud that he is?
And as for the limmond fight? khan went streight back up after the KD and only took a knee on instructions of his corner, proceeding the KD limmond cracked him flush with 3 right hands if his jaw was grade a china the fight would have been stopped

For the record, I'd just like to state that Gamboa is a douchebag who needs a most thorough ass-whooping.

I'm not giving either fighter a free pass
I do have a feeling that Gamboa will rise to greatness before Khan as Warren is a giant ***** with no balls and will milk Kahn for all he's got then throw him to the lions den to be beaten

Lets see 8 KO in 25 fights. As opposed to what Jimenez 14KOs in 28 fights. Not a whole lot of difference. Point is Gamboa has 450 amatuer fights, hell he's trained in Cuba like a pro day in day out. Gamboa is not too hard to tag, he was lucky Jiminez was very slow and threw only one punch at a time.
Someone like Pacman would destroy Gamboa. And in years time Khan would kill him too, Khan throws blistering fast combinations.

Even getting hurt by a total non-puncher journeyman like Limond is an indication of grade A china. Get Khan in there with Jimenez, watch the highlight reel KO and end of this nonsense, yes, Jimenez, the guy Gamboa just brutalised.

Its because Gamboa is cuban ... and cubans in professional boxing is like seeing white NBA players.
