Why does hatton think he is fighting for the p4p title

    nah I wasn't thinking of 7 or 8 guys. But I would say that it would be pretty difficult to dislodge JMM, BHop, Mosely, Vazquez and Darchinyan from the top five positions without another big win. It depends on the nature of the win too and even if its a close fight I'd still have a problem rating him over pac. That being said Ricky does have a very solid resume and he is clearly already a p4p. Right now I rate him on par with guys like Paul Williams, Cotto, and Ivan Calderon. And I rate him above guys like Donaire, Dawson, Rafa Marquez, and the Klitchko brothers. I mean thats pretty respectable in and of itself. If he were to win he would for the time being probably jump ahead of PW, Cotto and possibly Pac (depending on how he won) into the 6th or 7th spot.

    So down to earth that everytime he negociates for a fight its pound notes before ANYTHING else. I mean look at Mannys recent opponents? David Diaz DLH Marquez Barrera Morales 3 of those are ATG`s. Rickys was the worst belt holder at 140lbs, an inactive career lightweight a loss to Floyd and a KO victory over a career light weight who`s been shot since the Corrales fight.

    He's not fighting for the p4p title, but a win against Pacquaio will bring him back amongst the p4p elite. Right now, he sits around 15th or so in the p4p stakes.

    It must be his ego or drink or ticketselling or something,because it's neither logic nor fact.The guy has never beaten an elite fighter(Kostya,you say,35 and shot with a glass chin,and another guy who never beat an elite.Chavez was shot when he fought him).He was starched by Mayweather,who couldn't take out Baldomir or Judah at 147.Ricky's a legend in his own mind,or a legend in his own behind,if you will.Manny's a former strawweight who peaked at 126-130.You think Hatton would move up that much to fight Paul Williams?Not on your life.Williams would starch Hatton within 5 and Hatton knows it.That's why he's talking about challenging JM Marquez,a great fighter that's never fought above lightweight.Anyone surpised?
