are not as important or relevant as the lamotta vs srr fights. they fought 4 times in very tough fights and some were controversonial. zivic was no piece of cake and was extremely dirty.does anyone have any info on these fights?were any filmed?

they had four fights. lamotta won three and in a few had to do it late just to barley get the edge. i also think lamotta beat zivic once while he was either a world champion(zivic)or just turned former champion. zivic came from a family of fighters and was very good and rough. are these on film anywhere?

I guess because Ray Robinson is almost unanimously considered the greatest fighter of all time, and Lamotta was clearly his greatest rival. And they define clash of styles, they were made for each other.

I have never seen these fights...Zivic was a great fighter with wins over Armstrong..but I think its pretty obvious why they arent remembered the same as the Robinson fights.

whats so obvious that the reason is that they didnt get the attention of the srr fights? zivic beat the great henry armstrong and many other good top notch fighters and gave srr a hell of a battle right down to the wire.

Because Robinson is the consensus no1 p4p fighter of alltime....He is a superstar of the sport..Zivic didnt get the attention Robinson did in Raging Bull...He is not as well known, as fondly remembered or as great as Robinson.

Not taking anything away from Fritzie, he was a true great but I dont see what the big mystery is here.
