Why does Jim Lampley hate Hopkins so much??

i remember the trinidad fight, the only guy giving hopkisn credit was merchant. when he asked foreman "goerge, why arent u giving hopkins any credit tonight"

 

because lampley knows hopkins has a bigger dick. its that whole "insecure white man" syndrome.

 

So by that logic, does that mean Jim knows Taylor, Jones, Trinidad and other HBO fighters over the years have small dicks?

But Jim loves Gatti, who's Italian.

 

Hopkins dares to speak his mind and stand up to the "powers that be." HBO prefers its fighters to do what they're told and not challenge the network in any way. Why do you think thye love "yes men" like Taylor.

Do any of you remember when lampley cowared behind george foreman when that brawl broke out on the floor. That lost all dignity I had for him.

 

which fight? It wouldve been great if someone charged Foreman and his 60 year old ass flattened somebody out.

 

I think it was the Bowe-Golota II riot. One of those riots with Bowe-Golota, can't remember which fight. And I think some guy approached them and George said "you don't wanna do that, son. Don't do that!"

No matter how much I admire Hopkins' ability - you gotta admit his style is not exactly going to bring new fans to the sport. His fighting style is boring as hell to the casual fan. Boxing fans may watch...but you're not going to increase your audience beyond that. Hopkins demands bigger money from the networks everytime he wins and bitterly complains when he doesn't get it, but you have to have the right style as well to be in that position.

 

Here's a theory I hadn't thought of:

Maybe the girl he beat up was Hopkins' biggest fan?
