Why does Khan always try to pay his opponent peanuts?

Really I'm not accusing Khan of anything, but I was more asking a question on why this keeps popping up and you answered it well.

 

For Tim and Zab, you already admitted that it's not Amir's fault. For the other three, aren't they receiving much more than their last fight? They surely cannot demand almost equal amount with Khan because they are not the crowd drawer of the fight. Do not put all the blame on Amir.

 

khan does seem to have a lot of problems nailing down opponents, the negotiations with marcos maidana went on far too long, and the mccloskey fight was on and off a few times, with khan saying mccloskey was asking for "stupid money".
it would make a nice change for a khan to get a fight sorted quickly without it dragging on and on.

1.4 for khan and 50% on everything including PPV in UK

Khan himself is not an exceptional PPV star in the US. Far from it. But amongst his peers - Bradley, Judah, Alexander, etc, - he does have more star-appeal. You have the elite guys like Mayweather, Pacquiao and Cotto, followed by the popular ones such as JMM. And not far behind him, is Khan, who definitely attracts more interest than the guys after that.
