Why does Whyte get so much hate on here?

    Lots of lies there

Let's be honest no one with a clue was saying they will respect Whyte if he beats Browne...who hadn't fought in ages, had been out with mental health issues and wasn't even good to begin with. Beating Lucas Browne is truly meaningless. Especially when you watch the fight and see how bad and out of shape Browne looked

Joseph Parker win was a good win but the public didn't believe Parker would smash him at all as the odds at the bookies were basically dead even. Was just a well matched fight that he won. Parker and chisora are the only names he has beat who are worth anything at all and he went life and death with them both

He's ducked Ortiz once, now he's just made a fake call out because he seem Ortiz was already booked in December and it's blew up in his face as Ortiz said he will fight Whyte instead of his December match up. Since that's been said we haven't heard a peep from whyte and Hearn has bottled it too

I personally like whyte but his fake persona of he will fight anyone is very untrue. Saying that he is one of my favourite heavyweights

Most of your first paragraph could have been used to describe Fury who Wilder is getting ready to fight.

    Whyte at least, is active.
Puts him above most at HW purely for that fact imo.
Of course, that means he's more often in the firing line for criticism.
And there's no shortage of people lining up to criticize it seems.
So, it seems the more you fight, the more you get shat on.
Whyte should take it as a backhanded compliment.

"Haters gonna, hate, hate hate!" Wise words from Miss T.Swift.

Whyte and any boxer will always have haters and critics it's quite easy to spot them. I mean who on earth seriously thinks Whyte lost to Parker? I was rooting for Parker, hell I was rooting for Browne to KO Whyte too, I am not a Whyte fan, hope Chisora knocks his pin head off his shoulder but if you think Parker beat Whyte you should probably go watch another sport that fight was not close.

Whyte deserves the work he's getting calling out Luis Ortiz only to blatantly duck him. Many, including myself, think he gets viscously ko'd fighting Ortiz but either way that's a fight everybody would want see over Chisora. He only has himself to blame for not backing up his **** talk. Being used as a pawn for AJ's ducking of Wilder is going to give him negative attention as well.
That's on top of him having huge flaws as a top 10 contender. Given the amount of **** talking he does while not looking like a world beater is going to give him negative attention. He did not decisively beat Chisora and Parker either. People need to stop being pansies and just deal with it.

What have any of the non-belt holders at heavyweight done that is particularly impressive?

Dillian Whyte is relevant, and that's impressive when so few boxers are nowadays. The fact that you actively dislike him just shows that you respect him enough to dislike him.

we're not talking about other belt holders, but if you really want an answer, at least AJ has fought the best of the HWs, and Wilder fought the one no one else would, who Whyte has ducked twice & now fighting Fury.

Someone like Dave Allen is relevant, what does being relevant even matter? i don't dislike him, actively or otherwise, i'm judging him as a boxer. Although saying because i dislike him, then i must respect him is some strange logic.

As a person I can stand him. As a boxer, whilst limited, he does have balls and he has shown improvements since the AJ fight.

And as for his resume, I'd say Ortiz aside it's as good if not better than Wilder's - which says something.

Why he gets so much hate? With some people answer is very simple: He is not likeable person. Period. This is the case with Whyte too.

Whyte is one of those guys that i dont feel to comfortable to listen. He is not good guy or nice guy in anyways. He seems to be always little angry and hot-headed. Something is always wrong or something needs to be bragged.

You don't have to be always humble but be realistic and keep your emotions together. Or atleast if you are loudmouth then be good at it, like the way that it convinces people.. Whyte makes me cringe..

BUT AS A BOXER: I like his style and way of fighting.
Personality: :( = Most of the time I hope him to lose.

people tune into his fights in the UK, he has fan appeal and is never in a boring fight.

being a loud mouth has its disadvantages but also makes for a good scrap.

he has got good fundamentals. has been in a couple of close fights and always gives as goods as he gets.

what more as fight fans do you want?
pretty entertaining if you ask me.

haters will always hate and move goalposts to suit their agendas.

I said "non-belt holders". The belt holders should be fighting the top guys, anyway. You say that he ducked Ortiz (not sure why you didn't just name him) twice, but fighting Parker and then Chisora for much more money makes it totally worth it. Do you think Ortiz would fight Whyte if he could make a lot more money against anyone else? Even if he were to beat Ortiz, you would just call Ortiz a 50 year old heart patient like Wilder haters do.

The thing is that if you didn't respect him, you wouldn't have even bothered to respond to my post. You might think that you don't respect him, but you do. You respect him enough to judge his record as not being good enough, despite considering him only average. If people didn't respect him they wouldn't bother talking about him, or criticising him, because they wouldn't give a crap.

apologies, my bad. it makes it worth it in terms of money, but speaking in boxing terms, it isn't even remotely worth it. Why would i call Ortiz a 50 year old heart patient? i think he's the best heavyweight that isn't named Joshua, Wilder and MAYBE Fury, but besides, i don't think a Wilder hater would say that anyway.

You do realise how a boxing forum works and the point of it right? people bring up subjects, make them into threads and people respond to them. i'm here to talk boxing and thats what i'm doing. I do think he's average and his resume isn't good enough to warrant the love people seem to show him. Just because someone speaks about someone doesn't mean they respect them anyway and it's asinine to think as much. Any boxer gets my basic respect anyway.
