Why doesn't Margarito go up to 154?

It would be a very nice tune up fight that would reward him better than fighting most guys at 154.

 

Whatever happened to tune up fights?

You say he bullies smaller guys because he's bigger. Well, he makes the same weight the night before as those "small guys" do. IF it's unfair for him to fight them...Maybe they need to weight drain like he does before the fight, and move to the division below!!!
As for all those you listed at 154. If there not bigger then why don't they make 147? You seriously believe none of them weight drain just like Marg does, and if they could get to 147 (where they could dominate "Small guys") they wouldn't?!! They weigh 154...Because that's there comfortable weight! Margo's comfortable weight is 147.
Do any of you guys think better of yourselves than to do what Marg does? Would you rather fight a smaller, weaker man at 147, and get say 4 mil. OR step up to 154, fight a bigger, stronger man, and probably none of those fights you'd get your 4 mil?

Pavlik barely makes 160,it's out of the question.Margarito is good friends with Angulo,it will never happen.And Kirkland is far to less experienced to beat him,especially KO him,he practically is a prospect,not even a contender.

 

Cotto weighed 157 pounds for a 140 fight against Corley on fight night. Corley weighed in 140 exactly on fight night. That was FOUR years ago!

Margarito weighed in 160 for his Jr. MW fight. Santos blew up to 170 (16 pounds higher than the night before)

Cotto probably weighed more than Margarito when they fought each other.

I like Zab. I have always rooted for him. But the man let himself down big. He had the speed, talent, and power to get far, very far.

 

When Kirkland has at least proven himslef to some extent than we can say he can hurt Margarito but till then no.Margarito has never been KO'd and most likely will never be till the end of his career.
Kirkland needs to fight a Forrest or Mora,Spinks,Martinez,Dzinziruk or any other contender or champ at 154 to see if he is the goods.

 

Kirkland probably beats all but dzinziruk.. however, Margs prime is about to expire, believe me.
