Why don't boxer's use the 'Superman punch' more often?

    Floyd Patterson had a leaping left hook where both feet left the ground and it was his signature punch. You can generate more power with you feet planted and, as far as I know, "Superman punches" are not taught in conventional boxing gyms.

    JCC played in the Mexican Basketball Team and ate jumping beans on the regular that's why he's got some hop in his legs.

    It is more powerful, you do leave yourself open and it's not the greatest punch but it is a very strong punch.

    I do not think it's legal in a boxing fight though...

    Same reason they don't do The Backbreaker, The Camel Clutch and the DDT.

    I can't find the video of JCC sr knocking out Unca Roger. It was one of my biggest arguments that JCC-Taylor was a good stoppage.

    Because you bring yourself up too much. Also feigning the kick does nothing. Just throw a straight right like mayweather where you jump forward with the shot. No reason for legs to be that high off ground in boxing.

    some friends and I put on the gloves onve and one of them tried to superman punch another friend and he got caught so bad in mid air he just fell on his back. funnjest thing ever. imagine what a pro boxer wohld do
